I was there too!
So glad the Indies have learnt their lesson. The last one I went to was at the ANU where the Fed Indie invited to speak was high profile genocide apologist Monique Ryan! Yikes!
Scamps was a much better choice.
The Indies still, sadly, underwhelm. Emerson is from central casting, Strong is just shouty, and Carrick struggles to string a sentence together.
The organisers let old people ramble FAR too long at the microphone and the people who posted questions on Slido were not rewarded.
Tbh I cannot say I learnt anything new from them. But from the audience there was some eye watering detail on recidivism and FN incarceration rates.
