The cicada orgy is so intense today that I can hear them in my house (doors and windows shut), over my music (that I don't play quietly) and over the dryer that is drying a bulky item in my laundry room that I intentionally left open to help bring more/different sounds into my environment.
This is the most I've seen/heard in the 12 years I've lived here. (I think I read that this is the 13-17yr brood....)
