Last night for the first time in my life, I got an ocular migraine with an aura

In my real life career, I’m a clinician who works with neuroscience research so I’ve had a few people describe this to me before without actually having ever had one myself so I knew what was happening

1) I felt really scared because I couldn’t see anything except for

2) it was like my vision got sucked into a super colorful sparkly, shimmering fishbowl tunnel and inside that tunnel the world had turned into a zigzag patterned kaleidoscope

I couldn’t even read or walk around, but I had no headache and I could talk and think just fine as long as I was in a pitch black room

So I got into a super deep rabbit hole about this today and now I’m freaked out about the shape of reality
