Evidence for taraweeh is clear in the ahadith and just isnt referred to explicitly as "taraweeh", its referred as a prayer prayed at night during ramadan, which is just taraweeh.
Also if the sahabah, the people closest to the prophet of Allah, the people who Allah chose to be alongside and accompanying the rasool, aren't the best of people after the prophets then who is? The prophet said the best after him are his sahabah, the generation after them, and the generation after them.
In regards to aqeedah there can only be one true thing and only one logic can be correct.
The most truthful words are the words of Allah and his prophet, so in regards to aqeedah we only take from Allah and his prophet because they have made the aqeedah of the muslims abundantly clear. Whatever some random greek philosopher kafir says doesn't concern us. Aristotle was a kafir, greek philosophers were kuffar, why should we take from what kuffar thought and not what was directly revealed?
