Have you noticed this or have you had the same encounters?

I believe too much screen time and too much social media is decreasing your social skills.

Let me explain.

I had an opportunity to interact with two young adults. Probably they are from Gen Z.
I love to observe people.
These two youngs adults, I met them in two different occassions. So they do not know each other.
But the funny thing is, they have similar traits: they opt to go on their mobile device than engaging in a convo.

I can imagine that you can be shy. However, I noticed I am the only one asking questions or curious about them.
When I did not speak, it was dead silence and awkwardness then they would resort to their device as if a shield to get away from that awkwardness.
This was not one off, I noticed to younger generations.
Again, "variation is the norm".
I am only sharing the recent encounters that I had. ☺️
