depends on the scenario and what's more popular in your area. For example, around here we already have a meshtastic repeater up and running, so it works out well, but meshcore has no infrastructure in the area, so it only works directly, peer to peer. Since companions do not repeat, this would make it a worse use case than meshtastic.
