yes, the hard part of drying the diesel is a suitable salt. sodium sulfate is the absolute best, and easy to make if you have salt and sulphur and glass that you can use to make the sulfate, though that's cheap and easy to get, you can just buy it in 50gal drums anyway, nobody cares. use calcium chloride (also easy to make but cheap to buy in bulk) to keep storage nice and dry without heat or electricity.
