After he was shot in Butler, his rhetoric became a lot less anti-establishment and he then seemingly reversed course on some of his most popular campaign issues that also just happen to conflict with what the Israeli government wants.

Given how popular his calls for Epstein disclosures and stopping Middle East wars were, I don't have a better explanation for why he alienated his base so badly while offering no serious explanation for the reversals.

To me, the simplest explanation is some sort of compromised state. But, as to my broad point, I don't think that's a complete explanation for all his behavior. He has a complex set of motivations, just like the rest of us.
