I’m not arguing for “all or nothing.” I’m pointing out what the thing actually is.

Bitcoin works because nodes verify.
Nostr works because relays exist.

You can participate without running infrastructure, sure. But pretending infrastructure is optional is how we end up rebuilding the very middlemen these systems were designed to remove.

Growth doesn’t happen by hiding the mechanics. It happens when enough people eventually understand and take responsibility for them.
