True! So, one of the bullies I stood up to in high school came up to me at our 10 year reunion, apologized for her behavior, and then bought me a drink. She said that my standing up to her made her realize she was a bully. Not everyone can make that leap, but she did. (And so did a couple of other bullies I stood up to.)
