Since Denmark can attempt another vote in December, it is important to stay vigilant. Both Italy and Sweden remain undecided while France remains supportive despite Chat Control being in direct violation of its Résilience bill explicitly forbidding both forced backdoors and client-side scanning.

Germany's position has been reverted to UNDECIDED.
Despite expressing concerns about breaking end-to-end encryption, Germany refrained from taking a definitive stance on the Chat Control proposal during the September 12th LEWP meeting. A willingness to negotiate and compromise remains.
This is an unfortunate development as Germany is crucial to defeating Chat Control.

Luxembourg is OPPOSED to Chat Control.
"[Luxembourg's government is in favour of] a more targeted detection of child pornography material, in line with the principle of proportionality, in order to prevent the general surveillance of citizens' private communications. The government is of the opinion that this is currently not the case with so-called 'upload moderation', which is part of 'client-side scanning'."

hi Walter! The Danish presidency is currently working towards shoring up positions by September, followed by a vote in October. MEPs will then become critical. An update to the website introducing ministers and relevant ministries for each member state is currently underway as these, indeed, have the ball at this time.
