You’re Not Missing Out…
I think we live in a world full of people who are so afraid to miss out on something else that they completely miss out on where they actually are. FOMO is a real problem. Everywhere I look, I see people overcommitting themselves and obsessing over a perceived notion that they’re somehow missing out on life if they don’t go to a specific place or attend a certain social function, or can’t present themselves the way their peers can, or they aren’t at the place they hoped to be in life yet. They compare themselves and circumstance against the world around them and drink the poison their minds pour into them. My brother and I were recently discussing this phenomenon, and he shared what he’d observed among peers. We talked about how it seems like so many people are dissatisfied with where they are because they’re chasing after some experience they see others doing online and in their social groups.
Then he shook his head and said, “The carrot is a hologram.” Holy cow. He was right. It looks so real, doesn’t it? The promise that if you just move to that hip big city in your twenties, or get that job you’ve been working toward, or have this kind of house, or can afford this lifestyle, or take that cool photo to post on Instagram and prove you’re relevant, you’ll be satisfied.
The second you grab that carrot dangling in front of you, make that move, get that job, hit that milestone of perception, or post the cool photo, there’s no lasting satisfaction. You immediately move on to the next thing you think you’re missing out on. And it never stops. The carrot is a false promise of fulfillment. It’s nothing more than a hologram. Are you still believing that your dreams come true will be the only thing that fills you up or that figuring out your next step will reveal your hidden purpose?
It’s one thing to set goals and be diligent and intentional as we work toward them in the here and now. However, we have to keep ourselves in check because living with a fear of what we’re missing out on rather than focusing on what we’re currently standing on top of is toxic to our joy, our confidence, and the impact we can have right where we are.
Know what else that kind of thinking does? It sets us up to get stuck in disappointment instead of stepping forward in important directions.
When I look back at the challenging yet refining years in my 20’s, I’m thankful I didn’t get everything I wanted. I also realize I didn’t miss out on anything I wasn’t meant to have in the first place. Had my plans gone how I initially hoped, I likely wouldn’t have moved to SC, or WI and been able to spend what ended up being the the most impactful years of my life this far in unmasking and discovering myself beyond my fears for the first time in my life. Sure, it didn’t look glamorous, but guess what? Sometimes the glamorous things we go after are the most unimportant. On the flip side, sometimes the most unglamorous things we do are the most important.
On that same note, if I didn’t decide to move, I might not be writing this right now. It’s probably not something I would have thought to pursue. If I hadn’t been disappointed in the season prior to noving, I wouldn’t have discovered all the dreams I didn’t even realize I had for this season.
Perhaps even more important, I might not have learned on such a personal level what it looks like to embrace the power of impact in unseen spaces and ordinary places. It’s easy to embrace impact that is seen and applauded on big stages, but maybe the goodness is truly in the ordinary everyday.
Now whenever I catch myself feeling the pressure to do what looks impressive or am caught up in the lie that I’m somehow missing out on something, I have to center myself, check my heart, and honestly answer this question: Am I overlooking something right under my nose because I’m so preoccupied with the notion that I’m missing out?
I dare you to do the same.
Maybe you haven’t missed out on what really matters at all. Maybe that thing you thought you wanted is not a broken dream but a step toward a much bigger one.
Don’t overlook what’s in front of you because you’re so fixated on what’s behind you. I’m serious. There is no room for FOMO because the fear of missing out is just a perception, not a reality. If your plans didn’t work out, there is a reason. You’ve just got to keep your eyes open wide enough to see that something new is being worked out in your life.
So if you feel as if you really messed up or missed out on your one big opportunity, please reevaluate. Get your eyes off what didn’t go right and refocus for five seconds. Don’t overlook the purpose and opportunity right in front of you. Get back to what really matters, not what you think you missed out on.
Because, honestly, what does a gal really gain when she gets the whole world but loses her soul? 🤍🙏

💭🫶Tonights pillow thoughts… I used to measure everything in speed. How fast can I get there. How fast can I build it. How fast can I prove it.
Then I slowed down long enough to realize the things I was chasing the hardest were the things pulling me furthest from what actually mattered.
Not because the ambition was wrong. Because somewhere along the way, the purpose got buried under the performance.
We all do it. We run so fast we forget what we were running toward. We say yes to everything and wonder why nothing feels like enough. We build lives that look right but don’t feel right. And we don’t talk about it because everyone around us seems to have it figured out.
They don’t.
The people I admire most aren’t the loudest or the most accomplished. They’re the ones who protect what’s sacred to them. Their peace. Their people. Their truth. They build their lives around what actually matters and they stop apologizing for what doesn’t make the list or align to what everyone else wants for them. They’re raw, and authentic.
That’s not settling. That’s the most powerful thing a person can do. The people in your life can feel it. They know when you’re present and when you’re performing. They know when your love is real and when it’s running on autopilot. They’ll stay forever for the real version of you. But they’ll quietly drift from the highlight reel.
I stopped chasing the version of success that everyone else defined for me. I got still. I got honest. I remembered that the things that matter most don’t scale. They deepen.
A conversation that changes everything. A person who sees you without you having to explain. A quiet morning that reminds you who you actually are.
If something in your life feels off right now, it might not be your circumstances. It might be that you’ve drifted from the thing that made you feel alive in the first place. That’s fixable. But you have to be willing to look at it.
The people who find their way back aren’t the ones who had it easy. They’re the ones whose fire was tested and whose roots grew deeper because of it. Your shine can’t be blocked. But it can be buried.
Don’t let the noise silence or numb out what truly matters to you. Don’t let the perception of everyone around you make you doubt the path you’re on. Don’t allow fear and doubt to take up mental space and cloud your vision. Don’t hold back because you fear what people will think of you. Don’t bury your light. It’s yours and yours alone. It doesn’t require the opinions of anyone but you.
Set yourself free from self entrapment and logical assessment. Some of the best things in life will never make sense, and that’s the beauty of it… blessings were never meant to be logical…they are divine. 🤍

T-minus one month.
In 30 days, I’m moving across state lines into a life I used to only pray about.
What’s wild is… this didn’t happen overnight. This was built.
I remember last June like it was yesterday, when it shifted from “what if” to “we’re doing this.”
And from that moment on, everything started requiring action and a decision… zero hesitation, zero doubt. I told God I was all in…

If you feel trapped right now, your mind is probably doing the same thing most of ours do.
It keeps asking
How do I get out of this?
You replay the situation.
You search for the right plan.
You try to solve the entire problem in your head.

So it just loops.
A better move is to step out of the loop entirely.
There’s a pattern behind this I think of as the Houdini Principle.
The magician who inspired Harry Houdini, Jean-Eugène Robert-Houdin, didn’t start with a grand strategy to change his life.
He once saw a street magician perform a simple trick.
Something about it caught his attention.
So he followed the curiosity. He bought a book about magic. He practiced. One interest led to another.
Over time that curiosity turned into mastery. He became one of the most celebrated magicians in Europe.
The important part is how it began. Not with a plan. With fascination.
You see the same pattern everywhere. Joseph Campbell called it following your bliss. Psychologists call it intrinsic motivation. The Bible calls it the renewal of your mind. Faith.
It’s simply the mind moving toward something that has energy.
So if you feel stuck, stop trying to solve everything at once.
Ask a smaller question.
“What actually interests me right now?”
Then move a little in that direction.
You don’t escape the box by thinking harder inside it.

Tonight I Remembered. (Pull up a seat)
It took me 30+ years to learn that the thing we hide is usually the thing that sets us free.
Tonight it took one hour.
I started in Galatians. The fruit of the Spirit. I wasn’t searching for answers - I was searching for alignment. For the thing that makes the spirit feel at home in the body. That ancient hum when everything inside finally says *yes*.
I ended up in a conversation that asked me the questions I’ve been running from:
*What are you afraid of?*
*Why is the soul hiding?*
*What would you call it if you weren’t afraid?*
Here’s what I discovered: I’ve been building my business behind a mask. My boyfriend and I created something real - the bones are solid, the systems work, the language is clean and professional.
But it was missing the heartbeat.
I was so afraid that the raw truth of what I love wouldn’t grow that I dressed it up in a suit of operational language and called it infrastructure. I thought safe meant successful. That aligning to the business world’s requirements meant I could use the skills I’ve always used for success and create my own thing… only… it wasn’t me. Not the core of who I AM. Beyond the success, and the boardrooms, and the business fluff. The me that lights up. The me that has been waiting.
Instead of leaning into the art of creation, I clung to the edge. I was just… asleep.
But here’s the thing about sleep: you can only stay there so long before the soul starts knocking.
What if the resistance we feel isn’t a warning - it’s a compass? What if the fear is just a door we haven’t opened yet? What if everything we’ve been running from is actually running toward us, waiting for us to turn around?
When I stopped performing and finally answered honestly - *what is this really?* - one word came through:
A garden.
Not a business that scales companies. A space that scales *people*.
I don’t optimize operations. I help people shed the version of themselves that got buried underneath the thing they built. I create the conditions for someone to remember who they were before the work consumed them. Before the title became a cage. Before success became a mask they forgot they were wearing.
That’s not business optimization. That’s cultivation. That’s tending to the seed of who someone actually is and watching them grow into what they were always meant to become.
And then - just to see what would happen - I mapped my birth chart and my boyfriend’s into a 3D space using Claude Opus while I sat with what was unraveling. Actual coordinates. Just to watch what shapes would emerge from the stars.
Mine drew a downward-pointing diamond. A compass anchored to the earth. Vision becoming structure.
His drew a hexagonal shield. Protection in motion. The one who guards while the garden grows.
When I layered them together…
They interlocked into a hexagram. The ancient seal. As above, so below. 🤯
Genesis 1:1. Heaven and earth. The separation and the union. Both true. Always.
I went looking for fruit and walked into the whole garden.
Here’s what I know now: We spend so much of our lives building walls around the very thing that would set us free. We call it protection. We call it strategy. We call it being smart.
But the soul doesn’t want to be smart. It wants to be *alive*.
What if you’re standing at the edge of your garden right now? What if everything you’ve been seeking is on the other side of the one question you’ve been afraid to answer?
You are magnificent. You have always been magnificent. The only thing between you and the life you were made for is the story you keep telling yourself about why you can’t have it.
Open the door. Step through.
The unknown is where everything grows.

I had a chance, but when the moment came, I swallowed my voice so I wouldn’t look lame.
I felt the doorway swing open, warm and wide, then locked it tight from the inside.
Good news arrived like a sunrise on skin, I tasted the joy, then I buried the grin.
I stared at the ceiling and counted the cost, already grieving what hadn’t been lost.
I made some friends, and the spark felt true, like laughter that knew what my silence went through.
But a whisper said, Careful, don’t let them in, so I smiled from the edge, and I stayed paper-thin.
I saw a job I could surely do,
but my mind wrote a verdict before I even flew. They’ll never pick you. Don’t bother. Don’t try.
So I folded my résumé and called it “goodbye.”
I met a girl and she stole my heart,
and for once I believed I could play my part. But fear poured poison in every sweet start: You’ll surely lose her. Why offer your art?
So I wore a suit of armor, polished and tight, a hallway of steel between me and the light.
I learned to look fine, I learned to seem brave, while my real self waited, unpaid, in a cave.
I dodged compliments quick, like they carried a blade, I turned down the music, kept debts to be paid.
I feared being seen, so I edited me,
cut whole chapters out just to feel “safe” and “clean.”
And here’s what it does, what that habit will teach: it doesn’t just stop you, it shrinks what you reach.
It makes every “maybe” a permanent “no,” and calls it being smart while you quietly go.
It makes you rehearse every worst-case scene, then hands you the script like it must be serene.
It sells you a cage with a view of the sky, and you swear you’re alive, but you never quite fly.
It makes you mistrust every door that appears, and treat your own hope like a con made of fears.
You start to believe you were born to stay small, so you don’t risk the rise, so you don’t risk the fall.
Meanwhile life keeps moving, impatient and kind, leaving footprints you’ll never go back to find.
First kisses unsaid. First steps never tried. Whole versions of you that just… starved on the side.
So life flew by, in the blink of an eye,
while I argued with ghosts and I called it “being wise.”
And on my deathbed, under hospital light, I watched all my almost dissolve into night.
Not “I should’ve been perfect.” Not “I should’ve been sure.”
Just: “I should’ve been honest. I should’ve endured.”
I should’ve said yes when my chest said I can, and let my hands shake while I still made a stand.
So let this be a lesson for all who read: your fear is a voice, but it isn’t the lead.
The mind is an ally, a map, a machine, but it cannot replace what the heart truly means.
Because coherence is more than just logic and plans, it’s courage in motion with trembling hands.
It’s choosing to live while you’re still afraid, not waiting for fear to politely fade.
So celebrate loudly. Let good news be loud.
Call your friends back. Stand out in the crowd.

Business Question…
If I have a proforma and financial statement for my business but I won’t get my first business wire until end of Jan but need working capital (without selling my bitcoin or using my personal credit) in mean time, is there a way to do that if the payments are contractually coming in and I can prove our financial statements, and that I’m at 91.5% profit margin for net operating income, and company has 0 debt?
I wasn’t sure. Haven’t done this before… and banks are frustrating with new companies…

This has been the best year of my life. Full stop.
