Nostr Connect doesn't support NIP-44, which is the primary encryption method for all order management, which is why you can't sign in. Otherwise orders would be lost anf not tracled properly.

Been a while since our last product update, but rest assured we've been chugging along and updating our service!
Aside from general UI/UX improvements and bug fixes, we're most excited about two key features recently released...
1. MCP Tooling 🤖
Of course, with agent usage growing astronomically, the toolsets to make products more accessible and usable by these models need to develop. In that vein, we released MCP tooling to make acting as a Shopstr seller and buyer seamless for your agents, along with refined model discoverability formats to increase the context window on our system. You can get an API key from settings and will soon be able to interact with the MCP tools as a standalone package.
2. Custom Storefronts 🛍️
This is a BIG one. This is our first step towards building out a Shopify-like suite of tools to make selling on Nostr almost entirely on par to traditional e-commerce experiences (and then some). Accessible via the shop settings, you can now claim your own URL slugs and design custom storefronts to match your products styling and vibe. Your products under your brand. While still basic compared to fully extensible e-commerce tools, there is a wide range of flexibility to make your web shop yours.
Automated custom domain linking is still in the works, but if you can't wait, you can reach out directly to us to help set that up manually.
Along with this came improvements to order management, checkouts flows, and product/shop specific link previews to highlight your products directly.
With @nprofile…65ny, we also expanded functionality to support credit cards, email account creation, custom email flows for greater marketing and conversion management, subscription purchases, all of the above mentioned and more (If your selling any local food or locally sourced products, reach out to get started there... 😉🥛)
Got a lot more coming down the road (along with some products of our own 🐐👀), specifically around performance, mobile, and further storefront functionality.

That's a bug that seems to be reappearing. Will take a closer look to get that resolved.
The old product should eventually go away after manually deleting, often the relays keep it saved until the deletion requests are properly received.

Editing the profile should change across Nostr as it's using your Nostr account. We'll me chaning the shop and profile settings to allow for a disctinct shop profile on the marketplace and social prpfile elsewhere soon, though.
And we'll add multi-region shipping pricing in the next day or so! That's a good base to cover. We've seen sellers often include a base shipping cost in the price and adjust based on where it is being shipped, but that's not as convenient as regional pricing.

That's part of our direction change going forward as well! The original shopstr.store site will continue as a Bitcoin and Nostr-only marketplace, but as we scale @nprofile…65ny and future planned marketplaces/services, we will be prioritizing accessibility, with Nostr not needing to be mentioned and Bitcoin as a payment option having built-in discounts and sats-back to incentivize usage, but not required as the only payment method.
On @nprofile…65ny, we recently added support for email and Google sign-in, as well as credit card payments under the main Nostr account listings to start. We're currently working on native email confirmations for orders, as well as credit card acceptance site-wide for all merchants. Data caching has also been added to ensure payment reliability and event delivery even if relay connections drop-off. A new order management dashboard is almost ready (moving away from the chat-first approach) and pro services for accounting and record keeping will be coming in due time. All that along with our content, in-house products using farm-direct sourcing/labeling, and some exciting partnerships being developed.

The landing page is actually hosted elsewhere at the moment, it hasn't been added to the milk-market repo (yet). Npub whitelisting also hasn't been implemented, but it's part of what will be added with the new site, so that is coming!
The milk-market repo will be the most relevent to look at with what you're trying to build, just haven't pushed any new changes to it so far, but more coming this week.

We use NIP-99!
Currently only LNBits' Nostr Market and @nprofile…ep53 use NIP-15, but Plebeian is in the process of migrating over to NIP-99 as well. @nprofile…yhsp is also working on implementing NIP-99, with @nprofile…atgv and Amethyst both already supporting it too!

Because the extension integrated doesn't support NIP-44 (which is used for encryption of all DMs and payments), it's not in the user's best interest to sign-in natively with it as they would not be able to actually make purchases and would likely lose money.
If you want a similar experience to SpringBrowser, Keychat is a great alternative with their @nprofile…0uz8 mini app!

When did this happen? We were assiting someone with something similar that happened a couple days ago believing it was a scam but we helped refund them and fixed the bug that was found to potentially be causing this issue, also confirming to them that it was not a scam but an issue on our end (this might be related).

The payment can go through, but if you didn't wait to get confirmation on Shopstr's end then the merchant will not get the payment and it will stay with the Cashu mint unretrieved (we can refund you for this if you like).
There was a minor browser compatability issue that could have been causing this drop in payment confirmation (seemed to be affecting Brave primarily) aside from lack of waiting and/or internet connection issues that was just found and resolved.

Did you get a confirmation with a green check mark after payment? If not, the payment was sent but not confirmed, so either you didn't wait for the payment confirmation and clicked off too early or had an issue with your internet connection. We can refund you for the mishap if desired.

When you redeem your payment, sometimes there are some sats leftover, as converting from Cashu to Lighting requires some extra sats to be "reserved" to handle the fee and make sure the payment doesn't fail. So the overpaid fee change is just the extra sats that weren't used to pay the fee.

Buyers can leave reviews on products they have purchased through the "orders" page (which can then be viewed on the product or merchant pages), with merchants getting the benefit of carrying their reputation across any client that supports it.
Buyers also now receive payment receipt messages to confirm payment delivery, and merchants can send shipping confirmation messages containing any necessary tracking links and delivery timelines to the buyer.
Old purchases unfortunately don't support leaving reviews, but as a merchant, you can send a shipping confirmation from your past payment messages, which would allow buyers to leave a review if they so desire!
Several bugfixes and message handling improvements have also been added.

Relay connection and performance issues have been reported when using chromium-based browsers; will be one of the next focuses to make the site more data efficient.
As for the Amber sign-in, yes, unfortunately that's the expertience for Android signers with websites, but we will also be adding bunker support soon, which is another way of using Amber.

The "cashuB" format is a new token format that is not get supported on the site (yet). You should be able to toggle the tokens to "legacy" in order to get a "cashuA" token, if I am not mistaken.
