@npub1tsj…g9v3 because I want something cutting edge and free to use, I don't like the idea of Fedora being like Windows more and more, NixOS has its appeal but a steep learning curve and infinite larp. so I can flex on everyone like I use the hardest distro

@npub1tsj…g9v3 I just want my system to be cutting edge and simple with all the freedom to make it how I want. I only want to leave Arch because it seems like these snapshots pack my drives and nothing I do will clean my drive and then snapper keeps breaking and I would rather have NixOS be reproducible to restore my PC without some bullshit via flakes and other methods to use my programs.

bro so why is declarative better than imperative distros? so it's better because you have type out code blocks just you so have the specific version of the software you need?
I can understand the love for something that makes you life easier but this is making shit harder for little to no reason
Certainly there is an easy way, maybe we have let NixOS have an imperative mode to download from their repo without some dumbass command that requires a specific url
