Partly because the espresso machine was mine from the times before kids when I had energy for manual machines, partly because I volunteered for it (and there weren't that many knowledgeable people to begin with). It was nice to relive the whole ritual around it. The only shade thrown was by the fact that the coffee was pre-ground too fine, and getting a consistent result was near impossible. #coffeewoes
