Since there's no menu description, I'll take a stab at it...
Fettuccini tossed with olive oil, red bell peppers, scallops with salsa, and fava beans, crowned with fresh cracked black pepper. Pairs well with mid-bodied whites like sauvignon blanc or unoaked chardonnay.
How'd I do?
And when is dinner? I can bring the wine... 🥂

You raise a very good point. I think I pay significantly less to feed my Pomeranian home-cooked food. But you have to consider things like fuel cost to cook and wash up, and labor, which has material value.
I may be ahead on the litter... I bought a big astroturf mat that fits nicely in a corner of our deck (so we don't have to go for walkies in the rain and snow) a year ago and paid 90 bucks. It will last for probably a couple more years.

Organ meats used to be inexpensive too. Now chicken livers are nearly as much by weight as whole chickens! 😬
Fortunately for my dog, he's only about 10 pounds, so I can afford to feed him real food. (Besides, I'm an empty nester and I welcome the opportunity to cook!) But even if I didn't, I'll bet dog food is also stupidly spendy, just not as high quality.

I actually am a fan of red meat. Venison and black bear are our local wild fare, and prepared correctly, they are marvelous!

No, you misunderstand. When I say "pure sugars", I'm probably being imprecise. I mean sugars that are intrinsic in fruits. or even the sugar that occurs in honey or real maple syrup. Sucrose, glucose and non-concentrated fructose. My body can process those FAR better than I can handle starches. But if I mixed the two together, as in COOKIES (AAAAH!) that would be a Toll House Cookie recipe for disaster!

Every person's body is different, so take with a grain of salt, but my body is less demon-possessed with some carbs than with others. Pure sugars, not so bad. Starches are WAY more addictive. Oats and corn are the least problematic. Then potatoes, with waxy potatoes being less demonic than mealy potatoes. Rice is really addictive, but brown less than white. And wheat? Might as well put a Wonder Bread wrapper on my tombstone. Assuming I can fit in a casket.

I sure get that! I try to approximate the taco flavor by turning them "inside out" with a lettuce wrap... but it's never the same.
Keto comes with a lot of compromises. I stick to it, because I have learned that with carbs I am like an alcoholic and can't be satisfied with a reasonable serving. It kicks off insane cravings! Best to just avoid that.
It seems like you can have taco or two without feeling the carb demon, and I tip my sombrero to you!

It's kind of regional, I guess. I was born and raised in the American so-called "Bible Belt". Churchy people. We used mr/ms like please/thankyou.
It's still done... not necessarily the same words or rituals, but the overall respect for elders and ancestry. Sadly, though, it's not the norm anymore, which I suspect is part of our cultural downfall.

I guess I'd use the rules of "Mr/Ms", but in reverse. Anyone I assume to be my parents' ages or older, I always address with a Mr/Ms title, even when using a given name, unless I'm specifically asked to not do that. (like Mr. Henry or Ms Cheryl).
I sometimes invert that rule. Anyone who appears to be the age of my oldest child or younger can be addressed as "young".
In middle age, it becomes a bit of a linguistic circus!

You make a good point, and that is why I suggest Singapore style Ethnic Integration Policy. They do not allow any ethnicity to occupy the majority of any space. No apartment buildings or neighborhoods that are predominantly ANYTHING. Integration is mandatory.

I don't think it's too late. I think Islamification can still be thwarted. It has to be done NOW. Mass deportation is a good start, but also the states need to take hard looks at what they are allowing to be taught in public schools and fix it NOW. We are a nation of Christian values, whether people observe the religion or not, and it has brought us prosperity and global hegemony. They need to quit disregarding THE winning strategy. We need Mayberry to flex all over the US.
