In the name of equal time, because I just finished Ted Kennedy's audiobook, I bought Gavin Newsome's audiobook and began to listen.
I'm two sentences in and I don't think I can get through the first chapter. His presentation is TERRIBLE. It's like this guy has never done public or professional speaking. He's AAAWFUL! The rhythm is kind of like early Captain Kirk, but without emotion.
I feel like if I listen to the whole book I will need a shot of penicillin.

I was just trying to establish where your revulsion comes from. Sir doesn't like it either except in tuna salad. It's more about the appearance for him, I think. He doesn't like anything "creamy". Except Irish cream. Full of contradiction he is!
If you're disgusted by eggs, yeah, mayo is gonna be gross to you. Does the aversion extend to baked goods, custards and so forth?
I make excellent mayonnaise with EVOO and balsamic vinegar. Or avocado oil and lemon. Hellmann's? 🤮 🤮 🤮

I also have a fantastic advisor... 40 years with Merrill Lynch, and 10 of those were as a wealth advisor to the Saudi royal family... the ones that own Saudi Aramco. He's also my uncle.
He suggested I go ahead with the IPO, but I've set aside some of the allotment for the dip.
He's not a get-rich-quick guy. This is about holding for as long as possible. It's money I don't need now.

No. I have a decent recipe for an almond flour keto bread, but, no, I don't eat traditional bread, pasta, pastries, etc.
There are lots of recipes and products nowadays that you can sustitute for all the high carb stuff, and some are quite tasty. It's not hard once you get the hang of it. I don't even miss starchy foods anymore.

I had my last child at 40, and I really enjoyed his young childhood. I think I was a lot better at it in my 40s than I was in my 20s. I was definitely more patient! But people often remark, even now at age 55, that I have a lot of energy, so that probably helps.

That's pretty close to what I do! I personally cook his chicken though, to make sure it isn't overly seasoned, and he gets the livers, which is his favorite part. He also gets a nice meaty beef bone from every steak I grill. Our little Pom eats better than many children in this country!

I'm probably "older folks" at age 55. And yes, it was better when education was not only affordable, but actually EDUCATION. Now it's an indoctrination machine from pre-K to post-grad. "Progressive economics" usually means penalizing success; redistributing wealth from those who are the most conscientious, hard-working, intelligent, and disciplined to those who are lazy, stupid, and deliberately refuse to manage ANYTHING wisely. Money, diet, sexual behavior, effort toward education... all mismanaged by the proposed recipients of the largesse of the best and brightest. There are very good reasons responsible people object to that.

Agreed on all points! If I MUST have a bread, it will be my modified version of 90 Second Bread. I tweaked it thus:
6 Tbsp almond flour
1 egg
1 Tbsp Bob's Red Mill egg replacer
2 Tbsp water (or broth, beer, juice, etc)
1 tsp baking powder
2 Tbsp fat (butter, oil, bacon grease, etc)
Salt, pepper, spices, and herbs to taste
Pour into 2 prepared custard cups. Microwave 2.5 minutes
7g carbs/serving (adjust if you use beer/juice for your liquid).
Commercial "keto bread" is gross.

This is really close to my basic recipe except I drizzle the oil. You can go nuts with this one... cracked black pepper, basil and parm, cumin and chili powder, dill... you can even go with cinnamon and extra sugar for Elvis sammiches (peanut butter, banana, bacon, and mayo). SO much better than store stuff!
And yes, extra light is quite neutral, but sometimes the flavor of EVOO is actually a bonus. It's great with balsamic vinegar instead of white!
