Using AI is trending in medical education. Like Groink thought from the article, It's used to generate scenarios for learners to practice. It's a more immediate, cheaper, time-saving option compared to hiring, training, and scheduling standardized patients for learners to practice a simulated patient encounter.
It cannot simulate actual verbal and non-verbal communication, but can at least help the learner practice patient-centered language.
