Mojeek is outside the EU. That's a non starter for an EU sovereignty movement, isn't it?

According to the article I linked they vent live with the joint venture last year. If they serve 50 % from their own index now, that's sound like a good start. Google wasn't built in three years either.
What do you think would have been the better way to do it?

Hedgehogs are scientifically counted with footprint tunnels.
It's essentially a little tunnel with a bit of food as bait. Inside the tunnel are two A4 papers and an area painted with home made "ink". It's cooking oil and charcoal.
Any animal walking through the tunnel leave behind charcoal footprints. These are from a hedgehog.

On the the social web there are quite a few servers with income. Some servers are donation based, some have EU grants, some are subscription based, and some are hosted by for profit corporations.
We on Mastodon.green use 20 % of the income to plant trees.
In generalized terms what we're doing can be called turnover based climate action.
