Every morning at 8 AM I go to work. It’s consistent 7 days a week. So the children know.
Lately the oldest, that is 3 years old is starting to ask:
“Are you going to help people?”
My answer is:
“Yes son, father is going to help people be safe”
Son:
“That’s nice”
He pats on my shoulder
“Will you be back soon?”
Me:
“Yes, son, just like every day you’ll see me at dinner”
Son:
“Ok dad, hug and good luck!”
It’s sad to not be able to be with my children that much, but at the moment we have to help hundreds of people to safety from fiat tyranny a month.
Doing this proof of work will help them in the future too.
My time spent on building now will reward them in the future, that’s where it’s all about.

The shoes I still have are mostly >decade old Greve shoes from Waalwijk when they were still decent quality.
Almost everything can be rebuild on those shoes.
It’s very hard to find proper quality shoes these days.
Since I found bitcoin I decided to use my collection of shoes until they truly wear out.
I believe that might take me a long time…

Just put new laces in these shoes. It’s the second pair of laces after ~5 years of these shoes.
Some of my shoes are over two decades old and have been resoled and had minor repairs.
Shoes should last over a decade at least.
Daily shoe change is healthy for your feet and proper shoes are an extremely long term investment.

Have you considered the shipping companies too?
We found out by bitcoiners working at DHL that basically every employee can just find a company account that ships and get all shipment data if there is a company account.
We decided to therefore do manual shipments without any account with shippers when we started. Specifically because of this risk.

Becoming a bitcoin maxi…
Last year I applied to become a consultant with @npub1lrj…mzx2. The vacancy received 250 applicants and I became one of the few that actually got a chance to join this family of bitcoiners.
True proof of work needed to be fulfilled. Hundreds of clients were waiting for their consults and due to supplying the best education for self custody in the bitcoin space, they were overrun.
With the expansion of the team we were able to optimize the workflows and clients communication.
When the backlog finally was overcome it was time to expand our offerings on the basis of the needs of thousands of clients the bitcoin way built over the years.
The technical team now consisting of 6 cybersecurity and bitcoin maximalists with a combined experience I’ve never encountered before worked heads down on the optimal business and enterprise solution for multiple signers with full redundancy without trusting any third party. This work has finalized and is now finding its first implementations.
If you were at the btcprague conference, you might have noticed a few nice boxes with hardware standing at the bitcoin way booth. The number of people checking it out was thousands. Out of our team of 25 we were only present with 15 at the conference, we couldn’t handle the number of people interested in the details of what we supply.
After the MainStage performance of Mr Saylor, Tony was next. And just like our stand performance, 80% of the people left the space apparently not understanding what bitcoin is about.

A mindset is individual and people experience pain to change at a different level.
A methodology that has been used effectively throughout time is mass indoctrination or propaganda to bring the solution.
So if our desired direction is mass adoption of bitcoin we’ll need to adopt the media channels that reach the masses. Have them download an app and have them start using bitcoin.
If the desired direction is freedom, we’ll have to work on vertical open hardware and software to be adopted before bitcoin can be adopted as freedom money. Which is an unlikely path for the next decade. Longer term multiple groups will live, work and grow outside of the enclosed systems that will decay over time. Bitcoin will be the bridge. Question is what will be allowed to be pushed on the closed Google, Apple and Chinese systems to bridge peer2peer money.
“And how do we serve not only current needs but also adapt to future societal changes?”
For the majority there are no current needs. People are ok where they are. Future societal changes will make people feel pain and move towards the direction the propaganda tells them to move to.
The question for the short term is, who controls the communication channels.
In the Netherlands this is a very pessimistic outlook. It looks much more healthy in other parts of our planet.
We should also assume that algorithms in socials in the Netherlands are pushing a certain agenda, while traditional state/DPG (de pers groep) channels are also pushing a certain agenda. Currently they don’t seem to be aligned, but they will be at some point. That’s when uniform propaganda, or as we could say “preferential reality” is fed to achieve the goals of the controllers of the information flows.
ASML is currently still critical, but soon will not be. That’s the point where the Netherlands can fall into despair.
The best way out in every future scenario would be absolute neutrality and creation of open hardware and software at scale for the planet. The Netherlands would be able to become the biggest on/off ramp of bitcoin and pusher for freedom for the individual on our planet.
Currently they are on the exact opposite path (war, surveillance economy) and don’t expect the above to ever happen.

When I did my bachelor I pushed for a shorter runway because I had work experience being a surveyor and I could skip half a year.
When I did my master degree I applied to do it at unesco IHE with more practical programs and 6 day a week classes. 1 year, half a year of graduating. Saving me 1,5 years of useless time at university. As a side job I drawed autocad for contractors and did building oversight and engineering for the first floating houses in the Netherlands.
You simply have a very short period of time on this planet.
Productivity on what matters most to you is important.
Wasting time is the most painful experience for every well thinking human being.
The burn rate of not being able to work and generate income at full capacity was more than the cost of the private uni.
The ROI was simple. Most people think in the regular path, but we must think about the optimal path. Always. For humanity the optimal path currently is a better monetary system. There is no other way to get >90% of the global population to become useful for the future of humanity.
If we don’t fix the basic signal of everything, we’re simply not able to scale outside of our planet properly.
Peer to peer cash that is not devaluing should not be much to ask for.
We will however still have to battle for it for quite some years to come.
Though I don’t see any positive outcome if we don’t embrace it as humanity. The cost of working your ass of now, for this better system will put everyone in a better spot in the future. It’s about your value burned now vs the potential value coming back to you in the future. Money is just a database. Humanity should prefer a database without someone being able to type in “motherlode”.

At technical university delft (I studied coastal engineering at unesco-IHE in Delft) we used to have a lot of Iranian students.
Their mathematic performance was higher than any other genetic background I’ve ever encountered.
They hated the regime in Iran. And definitely hated regimes in general. Many understood our world better than most from a restrictive financial perspective.
They were send abroad to study at a young age, because there simply was no future in Iran.
There was however funding coming from Iran. But how?
Simple. A boxing match would be organized and they would bring in gold. A family would visit and they would bring gold.
In the past years definancialization of Iran sped up. What helped, bitcoin.
Not for the regime. For families wanting to prosper globally while being able to extract value out of Iran.

Today during an important meeting, I brought up this specific article. Two pages in all major newspapers. One of the biggest scammers is back. Where we thought this guy was out of the picture. He gets a major podium in mainstream media. It’s as if scammers receive a perpetual podium, creating a centralized narrative.
The majority of the Dutch population consumes this garbage.

In the past few days I had my goodbye meeting at the Dutch central bank and the authority of financial markets. As the chairman representing the United bitcoin companies in the Netherlands. It’s been an interesting few years.
The totally refurbished building of the Dutch central bank is open for visitors and the amount of interesting things portrayed there is worthwhile for bitcoiners.
“Value of trust” “value of stability” “The value of art”
The first big public piece of the new head of the Dutch central bank is “don’t agree with Eurobonds”. (Link below). This piece might give a tiny bit of hope that further EU integration gets delayed.
There is a high focus on digital resilience in geopolitical uncertain times.
I’ve had naive hope I could change the legacy system.
At least we won lawsuits and were able to reduce the regulatory burden and many millions of cost by having a firm stance. Our lawyer was not allowed at the main board cost meeting anymore after I brought him along once ☺️.
The fight at the European court in Luxembourg will persist through the next chairman. It was great to see us win in the Rotterdam and Supreme Court in the Netherlands, with the Dutch central bank having an army of the best lawyers.
We were able to push an over 5 million cost relieve at AFM under MICAR oversight this year. And we’ve held really strong stances where we could.
It’s time to move on and leave this legacy system behind. We’ll have to build forward on new frontiers. The direction in the Netherlands is unfortunately, stifling innovation. On regulation they are clearly far ahead of any other location on our planet.
I’ve seen what’s coming and it’s going to be tough, but we will be able to use our bitcoin. That is, what matters.

I find it really interesting, because when i was in Uni about a decade ago, Dutch dredgers started to mine gold under water. It wasn’t really spoken about but the market back then was already growing rapidly.
The new central bank vault in the Netherlands also has quite some additional space in comparison with the old vault.
Why is that?

As a bitcoin maxi, life is simple. You simply always are all in. And of course looking at “price” it’s not always wise.
So a beautiful example of conviction as I’m going through some historical buys with the print screens and the actual numbers.
At the end of 2021 I sold my bike rental, bikelimburg.
My last bit of fiat came in and as always, I directly converted it into bitcoin.

But I bought bitcoin at this top anyway.
I spend €5000,- (which was basically $5000,- back then). To see it be (1/4) €1250,- a year later.
In November 2022, we had basically no new clients, not a single business case made sense for mining on that fiat level.
And basically nobody believed in it anymore at that time.
I was earning some fiat through BitcoinBrabant still and some side jobs at that moment.
I always bought bitcoin.

Had an epic conversation yesterday evening before going to bed.
Woke up around 4.15 first answered my emails and DMs of BitcoinBrabant and did some workouts.
Than found out bitcoin was a a bit lower. Emptied all the bank accounts. Bought bitcoin.
Don’t do leverage. Work your ass off. Don’t leave bitcoin on an exchange. (All major US exchanges went offline during the trough).

No this is seriously the case. Preparing the DAC8 implementation this was confirmed by a high officer at the Dutch tax authorities.
Should be public information. Otherwise someone should file a WOB for it to just make it confirmed this is the case.
It’s the same with bank accounts. In the Netherlands we’ve got around 20.000 compliance folks checking on your transactions with banks. PEPs (politically exposed persons) and high net worth individuals have a separate status and these bank accounts are in a different database and have different accessibility for bank employees.
Rules for thee and not for me is literally applied in the Netherlands at the tax authority and bank level.
Even more interesting, you can request a secrecy for your personal data with the municipality. That’s now accessible for every citizen, but got that advised in one of the meetings, also interesting for Dutch citizens to request this with their local municipality:

This is a video on our Dutch business network RTLZ. It can’t be found online with RTL anymore, just like some other material where I got to be in mainstream in the Netherlands.
This specific piece was critical. In the preparation we talked about the €2.5 billion additional tax that is going to be taken from bitcoin hodlers under new DAC8 regulation.
The lady starts off with 2.5 billion of tax evasion currently ongoing by bitcoiners… Gaslighting at its finest.
Apart from that all economic and personal data from exchanges from 2026-01-01 will be put into a central EU tax authority database.
The laws have passed the implementation is finalized.
If you are in EU and hodl or transfer anything through a regulated exchange, be aware. Your name and activity will be in this Central European tax database with every bitcoin move you do through these parties from the 1st of January.
People around me are saying this is insane, I just look at it as the final push to also use bitcoin as a medium of exchange.
You simply don’t want to be in this database with a bitcoin number behind your name.
Oh and if you’re interested in the details, you do know that politicians, royalty and extremely wealthy people have an exempt status and a separate account and physical database with the tax authorities, right?
