Good run 7 mile run at Caribou Ranch. I recommend this hike/trail for anyone visiting Boulder- it has it all: wildlife, aspens, pines, abandoned mines and homesteads, mountain creeks and long range views. It’s not too challenging either - my mom hiked it with me last year.

I was on a run with a friend recently and he was getting bitten by bugs like crazy. I was right next to him but they weren’t bothering me at all. We got to talking about it and it turns out he eats breakfast smoothies everyday.
I said we each had different light signatures, based in part by our diets— his with lots of fruit and mine with zero fruit. For whatever reason, the insects found the light he was emitting more compelling than my light. 😅
