Nothing goes to waste on our farm. We collected discarded eggshells from our local trading center #Lunnya and crashed them by hand into a fine powder, as shown in the photos.
We plan to apply them to our tomato garden as a natural source of calcium which supports healthy plant development and helps reduce blossom end rot.
We apply them in the right quantities, as excessive use over time can raise soil pH and make the soil too alkaline.
What do you use eggshells for in your garden? We'd love to hear your tips.

Today we have mulched the gloria cabbages that we transplanted 2 weeks ago.
Our member schools demonstration garden is thriving and on Tuesday we shall be transplanting Tomatoes with the grade 4 students

Today, we have taught Jerome Academy students how to transplant Gloria cabbages from the beds to the main garden. It has really been a great moment to see kids happy to get their handsdirty for a future meal.

What if every school had a small garden at its entrance, and those with more space could create larger gardens with an even greater impact?
Our recent trip to Kenya gave us valuable training, inspiration, and practical skills. We are grateful for everything we learned and excited to share this knowledge with the schools we collaborate with.
As we plan to visit more schools, we look forward to helping them grow sustainable gardens and create lasting positive change.
This was truly a wonderful and inspiring trip for us.

We followed some hashtags hoping they would give us a more organized feed. However, we still rarely see posts about #sustainability #farming #climatechange the #environment or #agriculture
Why is that? Are we missing something, or is there a better way to connect with people who share our interests and values on the #Fediverse if their posts are not appearing in our feed?
We would appreciate any advice from more experienced #Fediverse users.
