NEVER use the Mac’s Passwords app to save your updated password. It will nuke an existing entry, notes and all.
I've just had it overwrite an entry with an additional PIN in the notes field. There's no way to undo it, there's no bin for previous items, it's just gone.

I just made an interesting observation that might help debugging this. I've got multiple accounts configured in the app on the Mac. When I switch to another account and then back the read position is where it should be!
It seems that for all intents and purposes the app •does• know where it should be and •can• catch up where it should be if I toggle accounts. It's just that it seems to be missing a trigger to refresh when the sync state changes via an external source.

To summarise things I've done:
- restarted (app/Mac)
- manually caught up to the top multiple times
- reinstalled app from App Store
- reset account cache
- verified “Saved to iCloud settings”
- NB: there is •no• Ivory entry under “Apps synching to iCloud”
- not yet tried: nuke prefs, copy prefs from other, working Mac

I have caught up though. I’ve since scrolled to the top many times but the timeline position has never again been adjusting. Just the feed status. It’s as if this app copy doesn’t know about the scroll position no matter how I adjust it.

Yes, multiple restart, even a whole Mac update restart.
One thing that might be relevant: this is a Mac I hadn’t been using for a while - several weeks at least, perhaps even a couple of months.
I’m wondering if it was perhaps way behind and something hasn’t caught up quite right.

One other observation that might be useful: The read •status• seems to sync properly. I.e. the “bad Mac" know which posts I've read.
If I scroll up manually I reach the end of the actuel “unread queue”, i.e. when the post count bubble in the top right appears.
The only thing the “bad Mac" isn't doing is scrolling to that position automatically when the read status changes elsewhere.

Both Macs are on the same store ID. No VPNs, same Private Relay settings (on, but network doesn't actually support it, so effectively off). Same Wifi network.

@npub1lyn…ve6v I'm using Ivory on iOS and two Macs. On one of the Macs the scroll position syncs when changed on other devices. On the other it doesn't for some reason. Both Macs are on the same macOS version (15.1), and app version (2.2.3).
Is there some setting I've accidentally toggled? I can't find anything in the prefs that seems to be related.

If there's anything I don't like about #Starfield it's that I get tied up in more and more side quests and am about to start a to do list to keep track of things 🤪
For days now I've been wanting to craft a suppressor but I keep getting completely sidetracked by stuff that pops up!
I've not yet done any of the main quest line beyond going to the lodge in New Atlantis…
