They say we are all travelling into the future at one second per second. But then that's normal, we wouldn't call it time travel. So by whatever means that can be sped up - time dilation (Interstellar), hibernation (Epimenides, Rip Van Winkle, Alien, Idiocracy, Demolition Man) or resurrection (Vanilla Sky) - that is for all intents and particularly writing purposes, time travel.

Oh I don't think you are Professor! And I'm sure you understand the details better than I, but I do know leaving in the hope we'd get a "better" deal (it couldn't have been any better) was laughably childish, and it's not much better trying to pick through the bits. What would be a hurdle to rejoining is how far our democracy's slid - but yes, the idea the "EU wouldn't want us" is a Leave narrative sadly adopted by many Pro EU people.

Right. Yes, wow, this is what they've been doing in the UK too, though sounds further along here, at least the public perception - I still can not get my head round Leave voters believing the "£350 million a week for the NHS" Brexit bus lie, to, only a year later say privatisation was the only way to "save" the NHS.

Yes I think he did, but did you notice Trump's anger also came after a period of being completely lost? He didn't even know what year Russia first invaded Ukraine and looked utterly lost when corrected, but was secretly fuming because it made him look stupid, people were watching, and he's obviously used to sycophants pretending he's right when he wrongly corrects them. And his anger was pure projection. Someone there was disrespecting the Office, but it sure as hell wasn't Zelenskyy.

That's less of an issue in my view because I think there's a few myths there about how motivation really works, but also it shifts the emphasis onto employers to make more attractive places to work - like how the free market's supposed to work - and free workers from being a captive audience. How much longer would toxic cultures exist for if everyone has, excuse my English quoting The Gambler, "Fuck you money"?

Yeah right! I mean HTML-only is an interesting idea - but there are reasons, good ones, scripting and styling libraries and backends and CMSs exist right?!
