I don't think it's about network share. Those are empty numbers that can be manipulated. It's about economically relevant nodes that originate high volumes of transactions (e.g. exchanges, swap services, etc...). If none of those entites are signaling BIP-110, the miners can't be bothered to care. After user activation, BIP-110 will immediately drop in hash rate and transactions will take hours or days to confirm at a safe depth. It will die so fast, and so many of these amatuer outrage-addicts are going to be even more confused and angry than they already are.

Are they SSD or spinning platter? Spinning platter over USB is going to take a very long time to sync. I experimented with an external USB 3.0 SuperSpeed spinning platter external hard drive and a raspberry pi 4, and it took a month to sync the chain.

Um, the reason the backend of the chain takes significantly longer is because "assume utxo valid" no longer applies past a certain block height. Your node only fully validates the very recent chain history.

You're not considering that I can create a transaction that is invalid on BIP-110, and the transaction would never appear on the fork. At that point, the old UTXO's are still on the bip-110 fork, but represented by the new UTXO on the bitcoin fork.
None of this matters though, because your transaction will take hours to confirm at a safe depth on BIP-110. Meanwhile the transaction history cranks away at 10 minutes per block on the psycho-normative chain. Forked UTXOs languishing on BIP-110 fork will be spent several times over on the Bitcoin chain.

Yeah, if the transaction is replayed on the fork chain, and the transaction signs for a utxo that doesnt exist over there, it's an invalid transaction.
But honestly, splitting coins for BIP-110 is a pretty stupid thing to do, since it likely won't even have a spot market before the miners abandon the effort. Lot of room for error with very little chance of reward.
