With an MBA from Yale and a rich, 20-year journey of homeschooling four incredible children, my career path took an unexpected yet fulfilling turn into the heart of the Bitcoin universe. It was through my husband's innovative game, HODL UP, that I first stepped into the Bitcoin space, sparking a curiosity that quickly turned into a passionate pursuit. Traveling and engaging with diverse communities unveiled a pressing need: to bring Bitcoin knowledge to more women, to make it accessible, relatable, and empowering. This realization was the birthplace of the Orange Hatter Podcast. Through this platform, I share the untold stories of everyday women—those you meet at the grocery store or live next door. These narratives highlight how Bitcoin provides solutions to real-life problems, embodying the idea that if Bitcoin can be useful to one woman, it could be beneficial to all. My mission is simple yet profound: to demystify Bitcoin for women, showing its practicality and potential to transform lives. This ambition drove me to create a weekly online reading club dedicated to studying and sharing Bitcoin knowledge in an intimate, supportive setting. The journey didn't stop there; I established a women's retreat to bring Bitcoin enthusiasts together in person. This retreat is more than an event; it's a sanctuary for rejuvenating the spirit, fostering deep connections, and building lasting friendships among women in the Bitcoin community. Recognizing the entrepreneurial spirit in many women Bitcoiners, I formed a mastermind group. This initiative supports female entrepreneurs in the Bitcoin space, providing a platform for collaboration, growth, and mutual success. My path from a Yale MBA to a pioneer in women's Bitcoin empowerment reflects my belief in continuous learning, the power of community, and the transformative potential of Bitcoin. I am dedicated to making the Bitcoin space more inclusive and accessible, one woman at a time. Join me on this journey to explore how Bitcoin can be not just an investment, but a tool for empowerment and change.

At a recent networking meeting, I shared about my Super Kay Adventure Series—children’s books that weave traditional values like honesty, integrity, friendship, creativity, and money literacy into fun stories. During the conversation, someone suggested I could simply use AI tools to “pump out” books in 5 minutes—storyline, pictures, even interior design. DONE ‼️ I shared this idea with my daughter Brianna—my partner in the Super Kay series, who hand-illustrates every page—and asked her what she thought. I reminded her that using AI would speed up her productivity, take care of the tedious, repetitive tasks, and even increase the ROI of our time and effort. Her response: “If you could pump these out with AI, it would rob the meaning of our books. It would take away the intention.” Each Super Kay Adventure book includes an average of 45+ illustrations. Brianna spends close to 100 hours hand-drawing them—each line infused with love and care. Together, we write, edit, and design these stories with one thing in mind: creating meaningful experiences for young readers. ❣️ Could we automate the process? Of course. But would the books carry the same energy, the same heart, the same impact on a child? We don’t think so. So we’ve decided: Super Kay Adventures will remain hand-written, hand-drawn, and yes—even debated over, between Brianna and me. Because intention matters. Love matters. And children deserve books made with both. ✨ Sometimes the harder way is the meaningful way. 📚 You can find the Super Kay Adventure Series on Amazon. We walked in with excitement, ready to try their Lightning payment option. No one greeted us—just a sign pointing us to a kiosk. Fine, we weren’t deterred. We followed the instructions, carefully placed our order, and even snapped a photo as we gleefully paid with Bitcoin. We filled our own drinks and sat down, noticing the table next to us piled with dirty dishes. The floor was dirty and slightly sticky. Behind the counter, one lonely woman was cooking ten burgers at a time. She moved slower than a sloth and was clearly not well. Twenty-five long minutes later—without a single employee ever coming out of the kitchen—we started to get antsy. I almost walked out and counted it a total loss. Finally, our name was lazily and quietly called. Cold burgers. Stale fries. It’s an understatement to say I won’t be going back, no matter what signs they put up about accepting Bitcoin or beef tallow fries. The bottom line: while we look forward to the day Bitcoin is used widely as a currency, right now it too often feels like a marketing gimmick—when what businesses really need to work on is the customer experience. Technology is only as strong as the customer experience it supports. https://blossom.primal.net/261fb2da191f9194f4d9d73f282e05add554e27f1fdb51a4fec0797d820d9f6f.jpg npub1q3r28wytn2ff90lvrvf9qvsu72uuvl7lpcpfjs46gdfqmvdgcu0q9s6amn orangehatter ✨ Orange Hatter Reading Club kicked off again last night after our summer break! 💓 It was such a joy reconnecting with familiar faces and welcoming new ones. We spent time catching up on each other’s lives before diving into Chapters 1 & 2 of The Great Harvest by Adam Livingston. Our conversation went deep. One highlight was Livingston’s point about the “dissemination” of jobs and careers—how something once unique and abstract gets broken down into repeatable and reproducible tasks easily performed by AI. From there, our lively discussion asked: ⁉️ Is it necessarily bad if the rote parts of a job can be replaced by robots? ⁉️ Are teachers essential for learning, or can technology fill that role? As always, the dialogue was robust yet respectful. We challenged each other—and ourselves—and everyone walked away with new perspectives. If thoughtful conversation and community sound like your kind of evening, we’d love for you to join us! 📚 👉 OrangeHatter.com/reading-club npub1q3r28wytn2ff90lvrvf9qvsu72uuvl7lpcpfjs46gdfqmvdgcu0q9s6amn orangehatter 🍂 The wait is over! So I had to figure it out from scratch. That’s why I wrote the book Parenting Forward—for every parent trying to break the cycle without a blueprint. I’ve been editing the old-school way—pages printed, chapters laid out all over the table, pen in hand. It’s messy and slow and exactly how I need to do this part. The book is almost done. And soon, I’ll be 💥 looking for beta readers. If you're a parent who’s doing the hard, quiet work of healing while raising little ones—you’re exactly who I had in mind. Stay tuned. 💛 (And if you're already raising your hand to be an early reader—drop a comment or send me a message. I’d love that.) https://blossom.primal.net/5f338f595d7c95ecc5a7368ba9db59240ba91e9b909c2d1765afc8acd852bf32.mov npub1q3r28wytn2ff90lvrvf9qvsu72uuvl7lpcpfjs46gdfqmvdgcu0q9s6amn orangehatter 💥 Why I Made Public Speaking Mandatory in Our Homeschool—And Why Every Child Should Learn It 💥 We live in a world where kids communicate constantly—but say less and less. Texts. Emojis. Half-spelled words. ▶️ When communication is truncated, so is thinking. How can a child form a cohesive, critical thought if their world is shaped by fragments? So I made public speaking mandatory. Not because I wanted performers— But because I wanted our kids to be presenters of their thoughts: calm, confident, and clear. When looking for options, I chose Gavel Club over a speech team. Most teams focus on perfecting one speech. But real life doesn’t hand you a script. So I started a Gavel Club—Junior Toastmasters. It gave our kids the chance to repeatedly practice not only giving speeches, but also rotating through key roles: Toastmaster (host) Timer Grammarian Evaluator They also practiced impromptu speaking through Table Topics, learning to think critically and speak under pressure. Week after week, they experienced the value of showing up and being heard. And this started in elementary school. One of the best reasons to start young? Kids haven’t developed their inner critic yet. Adults often fear public speaking because they’ve learned to judge themselves through imagined critics. But kids raised in safe environments—where they’re encouraged to speak and stumble—grow up unafraid of being seen. ▶️ Confidence isn’t something you flip on at 18. It’s built, little by little, through repetition. When I read John Bowe’s "I Have Something to Say," I felt deeply affirmed. Bowe explores the history of rhetoric and how speaking isn’t just about communication—it’s about: 💡 Thinking clearly. Listening deeply. Building community. He also highlights the link between speaking and mental health: People who can express themselves feel less isolated. They feel heard—by others and themselves. And that kind of confidence leads to deeper relationships and fuller lives. You don’t need to homeschool to do this. Here are a few easy ways to start: - Join or start a Gavel Club - Practice “table topics” at dinner—1-minute answers to surprise prompts - Invite kids to present book reports or trip recaps - Model intentional speaking and listening ▶️ If we wait until kids “need” confidence, it might be too late. But if we build it early—through repetition, structure, and support—they’ll grow up knowing their thoughts matter. Public speaking isn’t just a skill. It’s a tool for life. Let’s raise kids who don’t just have something to say—but know how to say it with clarity, courage, and care. If you’ve tried this with your kids—or want to—let’s connect. I’d love to hear your story. https://blossom.primal.net/544ca28b2e7861c0c51ed1a17ca08d17e76b091ba3adf1c390c10e60ebd4169e.jpg npub1q3r28wytn2ff90lvrvf9qvsu72uuvl7lpcpfjs46gdfqmvdgcu0q9s6amn orangehatter ❓ What if your perfect delivery was the reason your message didn’t land? ⁉️ "Nothing sticks to polish." That line jumped out at me in tonight’s Toastmasters Communicator's Club meeting (a group that helps professionals improve public speaking). One of our speakers shared this quote—something her public speaking mentor once read on the label of a bottle of polish. He had always prided himself on being the "polished" speaker… until he realized that when everything’s too polished, your message can actually get lost in the shine. 💡 What matters is impact. Resonance. Memorability. As a Bitcoin educator and parenting coach, I help families build a legacy of confidence, character, and financial wisdom. This message hit home. It was a gentle nudge—a reminder that polish is fine, but impact is better. That it should land in the heart, not just sound good to the ear. Whether I’m actively speaking or simply observing, every Toastmasters meeting offers something to reflect on. Tonight, it was this: ✨ Keep honing the craft. 🎤 Keep working on vocal variety. 🧠 Keep refining how the message lands. Because in the end, it’s not about looking and sounding good. It’s about making sure something meaningful sticks. ❓ What’s a speaking tip, quote, or lesson that changed how you communicate? I’d love to hear it. #PublicSpeaking #Toastmasters #Storytelling #LifelongLearning #LeadershipDevelopment #ParentingCoach #BitcoinEducation https://blossom.primal.net/70372c0d0cc675beebc3235dbafeb82ff14752f210380be2a000bea30351498b.png npub1q3r28wytn2ff90lvrvf9qvsu72uuvl7lpcpfjs46gdfqmvdgcu0q9s6amn orangehatter 💛 Character + Bitcoin → Better World Before you orange-pill your kid, steel their spine. Because the moment you tell them about Bitcoin, you set them apart. That’s the message I had the honor of sharing this week at Bitcoin Alaska—a gathering of minds and hearts that left me deeply inspired and incredibly grateful. Many Bitcoiners feel the urgency to teach kids about Bitcoin by helping them set up a wallet and send their first sats. But I believe character is the first hardware wallet we should set up for our kids—because it’s cold storage for courage, kindness, honesty, and grit. ✨ With strong character, kids can resist social hacking, get-rich-quick schemes, and conformity pressure. ✨ With a foundation of inner strength, when our kids finally hold Bitcoin, they won’t use it to run away from the world—they’ll use it to build something better. Because fiat may be broken. And Bitcoin may be better. But it’s still just a tool. And 💡 every tool reflects the hand that holds it. 🧡 Let’s raise kids who not only understand the power of Bitcoin, but are also ready to use it with wisdom and virtue. The Bitcoin Alaska conference was truly one of a kind. Not only did Bitcoiners come together to share our passion for freedom tech—but we did it while surrounded by breathtaking wild Alaska! We saw 🌊 Glaciers and waterfalls, 🐋 Whales, seals, and bald eagles in their natural habitat, and ate 🍽️ Salmon… fresh out of the water and onto our plates! 🛶 And we had the profound privilege of learning about the culture of the Indigenous Tlingit people—even rowing together in one of their traditional canoes. What an incredible privilege to have been part of this event! Huge thanks to the amazing organizers and volunteers of the Bitcoin Alaska team—you created something truly unforgettable! https://blossom.primal.net/e74f3edc30de6092878084bb93af0a2617c89f262d78e6227cc0aaa223e65479.jpg https://blossom.primal.net/1e17280ad48d36072f6d3d9e0172ddc070d97fcfc037c827312635f21bb469a4.jpg https://blossom.primal.net/5391ca2e1461a8549fed695a41a436ab6aa20b8128b30c22411393a5eb408747.jpg https://blossom.primal.net/903a112a1849cecb77e3dbb2ffc6555c8bdb5f907e25a05684b011c33f46a00f.jpg npub1q3r28wytn2ff90lvrvf9qvsu72uuvl7lpcpfjs46gdfqmvdgcu0q9s6amn orangehatter I was never one to follow politics closely. Honestly, I didn't care and didn't think I could make any difference one way or another. But working in the world of innovative technologies like Bitcoin has made it clear—policy matters. I can choose to ignore it, but it impacts me deeply. It impacts how free I am to take advantage of human ingenuity—or be severely restricted by regulations that favor one entity over another. I remember a time when my family had to stay up late to make expensive long-distance phone calls to relatives, because that was the “inexpensive” time. Our conversations were carefully timed because every minute cost money. Today, thanks to advances in technology—and policies that allowed those advances—we can make free calls around the world on apps like WhatsApp. That would have been an unthinkable luxury all those years ago. And yet, it could have easily stayed that way. Today, we stand at another crossroads—a technology that has the potential to eliminate third-party financial charges that burden so many people. But that potential could be stifled with a bill here, a bill there… and most people would suffer the consequences without ever knowing there could have been another way. That is why I care about policy now. That is why we spent this weekend in D.C. I had the privilege of attending the Bitcoin Policy Summit presented by Bitcoin Policy Institute, and I walked away both informed and inspired. What struck me most? The number of dedicated individuals working behind the scenes to ensure that the regulatory landscape surrounding this emerging technology is fair, forward-thinking, and supportive of both creativity and innovation. The summit centered around four key pillars: 1️⃣ Market Structure 2️⃣ Strategic Bitcoin Reserve Policy 3️⃣ Energy and Mining 4️⃣ Human Rights It was a powerful reminder that technology becomes infrastructure—and strong infrastructure shapes a nation’s strength in both economics and security. Grateful to have been part of the conversation. #BitcoinPolicy #Innovation #EmergingTech #Bitcoin#Energy #HumanRights https://blossom.primal.net/0f31d6525e868106a305c81ad12319063c14c64affc27b6013211b4aae1c9220.jpg npub1q3r28wytn2ff90lvrvf9qvsu72uuvl7lpcpfjs46gdfqmvdgcu0q9s6amn orangehatter Absolutely! A heartfelt thank you to Larry, for generously sharing his time and wisdom with the Orange Hatter women this week. After eight weeks of reading, reflecting, and discussing his book, our group of women came together for a private Zoom session where each person had the chance to speak directly with Larry and ask their own question. We talked about everything from money literacy and Bitcoin to personal convictions—what it means to live with purpose, to stand for truth, and to bring financial understanding to the people around us. It was a powerful reminder that education isn’t just about learning for ourselves—it’s about sharing what we’ve learned with our families, our communities, and our circles of influence. This session was both a celebration of The Big Print and a beautiful close to our spring season of learning together. Today, I had a conversation with a local nursery owner who's been running his business in the same location for decades. While we chatted at checkout, I mentioned that I teach Bitcoin. That’s when he told me something surprising: 💥 His Amish supplier refused to accept U.S. dollars.💥 To pay for thousands of dollars worth of inventory, he had to go out and purchase silver coins. The entire community trades in metal—not paper. Think about that. While most people are still trying to make sense of inflation, interest rates, or CBDCs... Others are already living outside the system. Quietly. They’re not waiting for permission. They’ve opted out. A parallel economy is already here. They're all being shaped by a broken system—and women across the globe are waking up to it. 🧵👇 This week, we kicked off our first Orange Hatter Reading Session on Fiat Food by Matthew Lysiak and @nprofile…x7uh . Women signed from all of the world including the U.S., Brazil, Canada, and Dubai. Different backgrounds. Different life stories. Same rising concern: The system is not working—for our families, our bodies, or our futures. Here’s what we unpacked: 1️⃣ A small group of unelected officials, central bankers, and politicians have made decisions that affect millions—without asking for consent. They’ve inflated the money supply, propped up broken food systems, and labeled factory-made ingredients as “safe.” Families are left to pick up the pieces. 2️⃣ The government doesn’t need to raise your taxes to take your money. They just print more. More dollars in circulation = less value for each one. That’s why food, gas, and medicine feel more expensive. You’re not just paying in cash—you’re paying through loss of purchasing power. 3️⃣ Even if you don’t homeschool, you can still lead your kids through truth. You can shape what they notice. You can guide the questions they ask. And you can teach them to spot the system for what it is. No permission slip required. 4️⃣ Thinking differently is HARD. It’s lonely. It’s uncomfortable. But it’s also necessary. If we don’t ask questions, who will? If we don’t prepare our families, who will? We’re building a community where women can think out loud, connect the dots, and lead from a place of truth + strength. We’re not looking for permission. We’re not waiting for the world to fix itself. We’re choosing to see clearly—and act boldly. 🟡 If this resonates with you, join us. 🟡 Our next Orange Hatter Reading Session is Monday. 🟡 We’re just getting started. After spending two months studying the book, we had the chance to ask him questions, hear about his writing process, and most importantly—have a real, unfiltered conversation about the forces shaping our food choices. What started as a casual discussion quickly turned into something deeper. We talked about how money shapes what generations believe is “healthy” food, how falsified studies and selective reporting have led entire populations to trust misleading narratives, and—perhaps most importantly—what it would take to break free from these long-held illusions, carefully crafted to keep people from seeing the true impact of inflation. One of the most powerful takeaways of the night? Our discussion about dignity and personal agency in health. For decades, we’ve been told by “experts” that our health is out of our hands—that it’s all genetics, predetermined diseases, or conditions beyond our control. But here’s the truth: when people believe their choices don’t matter, they stop trying. They stop believing in their own ability to improve their health. And that’s exactly how the system keeps people dependent. That’s why books like Fiat Food by Matthew Lysiak and @nprofile…6g5h matter—because they empower us with knowledge and help us reclaim what’s been taken away: the belief that our choices do make a difference. The evening was filled with great insights, honest reflections, and some powerful “aha” moments. If you haven’t joined us yet, this is your chance! Marketing has a way of shaping what we believe—especially when it comes wrapped in "studies." But how much of that research is independent? 💡 Follow the Money: Millions of dollars flow into academic conferences and nutrition research—mostly from companies with a vested interest in the outcome. So that raises a couple of big questions: 1️⃣ Which studies even get funded? If a research proposal doesn’t align with a sponsor’s agenda, does it ever see the light of day? 2️⃣ How does future funding impact results? When a researcher’s career depends on grants, is there pressure to find results that keep the money flowing? This led us to a deeper discussion about trust. 🤨 With so much marketing and industry influence, how do we know what to believe when it comes to our health ⁉️ 🩺 A surprising moment: Two doctors in our group shared that in all of medical school, they had maybe a couple of hours of nutrition education. Yet, they were expected to give dietary advice with authority. Both have since left traditional medicine to pursue alternative healthcare paths. What do you think? Have you ever changed your mind about a "common knowledge" belief after following the money? This book—and these conversations—are making us think differently about what we consume, both in food and information. 💬 Want to be part of these discussions? Join us at the Orange Hatter Reading Club, where we tackle books that challenge the mainstream narrative and get to the truth behind the headlines. In my post, I was referencing Fiat Food by Matthew Lysiak, who explores this topic and cites his sources. While I can’t personally verify every historical detail, I found his perspective thought-provoking and worth considering. At the end of the day, that’s what Orange Hatter discussions are about—recognizing that so-called “authorities” don’t always have our best interests at heart. Many of us have seen people we care about suffer greatly, even after following EXACTLY what the “experts” recommended. That’s why we aim to think critically, ask questions, and navigate conflicting opinions when it comes to health and well-being—especially for our families. To me, history is a frame of reference, a tool for reflection. It helps us step back, consider the bigger picture, and determine the best path forward in our own lives. npub1q3r28wytn2ff90lvrvf9qvsu72uuvl7lpcpfjs46gdfqmvdgcu0q9s6amn orangehatter Orange Hatter Sisters, let’s take this adventure to Alaska! 🌿🏔️ Instead of hosting our own retreat this year, we’re meeting up at the Bitcoin Alaska Conference over July 4th weekend! 🇺🇸✨ A quick heads-up—Juneau is a popular summer destination, and lodging fills up fast. A grandmother recently told me her biggest fear: "I want to protect my granddaughter's innocence as long as I can." She wasn’t talking about sheltering her. She knows the world is changing fast. Even in second grade, her granddaughter has already been exposed to conversations about drinking, drugs, and other risky behaviors. We can’t control everything our kids are exposed to. But we can prepare them. We can guide their attention to what is good, strong, and meaningful. If we don’t, the world will—and it doesn’t always have their best interests at heart. I’ve seen firsthand that kids who know their worth don’t need to be shielded from the world—they instinctively rise above it. They make choices that align with their identity, because they’ve built an unshakable foundation of confidence and self-worth. In my latest Substack, I share my approach for raising resilient, confident, and kind kids who can navigate today’s world with clarity and purpose. 👇 Read the full article here: 🔗 https://open.substack.com/pub/talilindberg/p/how-to-protect-a-childs-innocence?r=4q2ob&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=true If this resonates with you, I’d love to hear your thoughts: How do you help your children or grandchildren stay strong in today’s world? #Parenting #RaisingStrongKids #BuildingCharacter #ProtectInnocence #ChildDevelopment #SelfWorth https://m.primal.net/OJJQ.jpg npub1q3r28wytn2ff90lvrvf9qvsu72uuvl7lpcpfjs46gdfqmvdgcu0q9s6amn orangehatter Are we accidentally raising kids to be lonely? 🤔 In my first Substack article, I explore why kids without manners and kids who people-please often struggle with connection—and how we can help them thrive socially & emotionally. 💡 Read it here: https://open.substack.com/pub/talilindberg/p/are-we-accidentally-raising-kids? #Parenting #SocialSkills #KindnessCounts https://m.primal.net/OEsV.jpg npub1q3r28wytn2ff90lvrvf9qvsu72uuvl7lpcpfjs46gdfqmvdgcu0q9s6amn orangehatter What’s Really in Your Breakfast Bowl? Last week at our Orange Hatter meeting, we dug into Chapters 2 and 3 of Fiat Food by Matthew Lydian and @npub1gdu…6nak . Let me just say—what we learned about the history of cornflakes completely blew our minds. Did you know that the Kellogg cereal many of us grew up associating with a "healthy breakfast" was originally designed as a purposefully bland food meant to curb carnal desires? I know, it sounds crazy. Here’s the story: John Harvey Kellogg, a devout Seventh-Day Adventist, and others within the movement believed that red meat was the root cause of carnal desires, including the urge to masturbate. Their solution? A vegetarian, tasteless diet to suppress these urges. The extent of their beliefs included horrific measures, like the mutilation of children's bodies and caging their sexual organs. Over decades, the Adventists infiltrated government systems and schools under the guise of "diet and nutrition education," fundamentally shaping U.S. food policies to reflect their vision of an anti-masturbatorial vegetarian utopia. This whole thing isn’t just a bizarre piece of history—it’s a huge lesson in the power of influence and especially in the power of money. None of us knew the cereal lining grocery store shelves was born of religious zealotry aimed at controlling human desires. It’s a jaw-dropping example of how marketing and money can rewrite the narrative of a product and reshape public perception on a massive scale. Think about it: with a smart marketing campaign, an entire nation was convinced to embrace a food product with a purpose most of us would never have imagined. So, what else don’t we know about the food we eat? If you’re curious, let’s keep the conversation going. Join the Orange Hatter Reading Club by visiting http://orangehatter.com/reading-club. This Wednesday night at 8:30 PM EST, we’ll be diving into the next chapters. Join us as we keep asking questions and learning together. #FiatFood #OrangeHatter https://m.primal.net/ODqw.jpg npub1q3r28wytn2ff90lvrvf9qvsu72uuvl7lpcpfjs46gdfqmvdgcu0q9s6amn orangehatter ⁉️ Are We Accidentally Raising Our Kids to Be Lonely? As parents, we all want to raise confident, kind kids who can navigate the world successfully. But are our parenting choices unintentionally making it harder for them to build meaningful relationships? This is a delicate balance—teaching good manners without turning them into people-pleasers. And it’s one worth exploring, because both extremes—kids with no manners and kids who always comply—can lead to loneliness. In my latest blog, I share a real-life story from my homeschooling co-op that highlights why this balance matters, the pitfalls of compliance, and how to equip kids with the skills they need to build their “village.” Plus, I introduce the 7-Day Hero Journal Challenge—a simple way to help your child develop kindness, self-awareness, and compassion in just a few minutes each day. I was there as a dutiful immigrant "child," on the set path to success: -> study hard; -> go to good schools; -> get a high-paying job. My head had led the way to where I was—Yale School of Management. Entering investment banking, however, marked the beginning of my realization of just how off-course I truly was. ❓ What if your heart pulls you toward a path that others call crazy? ❓ Would you be willing to pivot—to let your heart and gut take the lead? This week, I had the privilege of sharing my story and insights at the inaugural Full Stack Business Builder Network Conference led by Peter Saddington . During my workshop, Pivots with Purpose: Aligning Your Life, Business, and Vision with Your Values, I reflected on the transformative power of making bold life pivots to align my choices with my true internal values. Speaking to a room of entrepreneurs and business professionals, I shared how these pivots reshaped my life and work. For me, this has meant: - leaving investment banking to be “just a mom,” - choosing to homeschool my kids instead of sending them to traditional schools, and - shifting from corporate income to entrepreneurship. Along the way, my entrepreneurial focus evolved—from teaching money literacy with @freemarketkids ' HODL UP game, to empowering women through Orange Hatter Women Initiatives, and now teaching children through the Pebble & Wave Project. Here are the key takeaways I shared during the session: ✅ Trust Your Gut – Your instincts are powerful guides—don’t ignore them. ✅ Clarify Your Values – When you understand what truly matters to you, decisions become clearer. ✅ Serve with Purpose – Purpose-driven work has the power to change lives, including your own. A heartfelt thank you to Full Stack Business Builders for inviting me to speak and to Patricia Hill for moderating my session with such grace and poise. (see below) Despite the disruption, it was an incredible discussion about Chapters 2 and 3 of Fiat Food by Matthew Lysiak and @nprofile…6g5h ! 🌟 We kicked things off with the big news of Ross Ulbricht receiving a full and unconditional pardon. It sparked a lively debate about accountability and personal responsibility: ❓ Should the CEO of a knife company be held responsible if someone uses their product to stab someone? ❓ What about a spoon used in a drug- or alcohol-fueled crime? Should the CEOs of the spoon and alcohol manufacturers be arrested because they made the crime possible? With a lawyer in the group, this discussion went deep! We explored how these principles apply to Bitcoin innovators and programmers, questioning whether creators should be punished for the misuse of their platforms. Then we turned to chapter 2 of the book, which unpacked the story of Ancel Keys—a man with no formal training in nutrition or cardiology who somehow secured a spot on the American Heart Association’s (AHA) Nutrition Committee. Keys convinced the AHA to support his UNPROVEN theory that cholesterol causes heart disease. Through the AHA’s influence and reputation, this theory became gospel for generations of doctors worldwide. As a result, millions of people were told to eat lean, avoid meat, and fear cholesterol—advice that fundamentally shaped diets and public health policies across the globe, despite lacking solid scientific backing. One of our members is a doctor and shed light on this topic. She explained that cholesterol plays a critical role in maintaining a healthy body—it’s essential for building cell membranes, producing sex hormones, and supporting the brain and nervous system. She said, “Trying to lower cholesterol to prevent heart disease is like trying to stop a fire by getting rid of the firemen." Cholesterol isn’t the cause of the problem—it’s the body’s response to poor diet and chronic inflammation and damage.” Her insights were a powerful reminder of why it’s so important to question what we’ve been told and dig deeper into the science behind mainstream advice. 💕 This is why I love our club. Last week in the Orange Hatter Reading Club, we explored Chapter 1 of Fiat Money by Matthewlysiak and @nprofile…jt2p , and it has been nothing short of eye-opening. I’ve always believed in human nature—the idea that people generally mean well and that most systemic issues are just byproducts of poor decisions, not intentional harm. But then I came across this quote from the book: 'Disguised under the veil of academia and monetary science, most of which being INDECIPHERABLE to the public, Keynes and his colleagues at the bank have demonstrated that, if needed, authorities could COVERTLY access the wealth of an entire nation through paper disguised as debt. Keynes wrote, "There is no subtler, no surer means of overturning the existing basis of society than to debauch [debase] the currency."’ (p. 20 and 23) Could it be that what we have isn’t just a broken system but one intentionally designed to serve a few at the expense of many? It’s not an easy question to sit with, but it’s exactly the kind of thing we dive into in this group. Together, we’re peeling back the layers of monetary history and economics, challenging assumptions, and finding clarity in a system designed to confuse. 💬 Want to join the conversation? That was one of the deeply personal questions we talked about in our Orange Hatter Reading Club this week. 💛 This week, we kicked off our discussion of Fiat Money, by Matthew Lysiak and @npub1gdu…6nak starting right from the Dedication. It opens with the story of Gina—a woman who followed every piece of advice about her health. She ate lean, avoided red meat, watched her cholesterol, and even took medication. Despite doing everything 'right,' she tragically died behind the wheel from a heart attack. It hit all of us hard because it’s an all-too-common story these days. Everyone is asking, 'How can I really be healthy?' It sets the tone for a conversation about how much of what we’re told—whether about health, money, or life—is influenced by narratives that don’t always serve us. Our group is a mix of women from diverse backgrounds—an educator, a librarian, a social worker, an artist, a metaphysical practitioner, a doctor, a lawyer, a homeschooling mom, and more—spanning different age groups and geographic locations. We started the meeting catching up, sharing laughs and updates, and connecting as friends before diving into current events and the book. Even though we only covered up to Chapter 1, the conversations were already so rich! One quote from the Foreword by Saifedean Ammous really stuck with us: '...how much of modern economics is propaganda to justify inflation...' It challenged us to think deeply about the world we live in. This is what our reading club is about—coming together to discuss big ideas, ask honest questions, and explore topics that truly matter. 💬 If this resonates with you, why not join us next week? We’d love to hear your perspective and connect over these thought-provoking discussions. Whether you’re here for the books, the connections, or both, the Orange Hatter Reading Club is a place where women can learn, grow, and support each other. You’re not alone—this conversation can be tough, especially when it feels like you’re speaking two different languages. Here’s the winning combination that’s worked for so many families: 1️⃣ Play HODL UP together as a family. This isn’t just a game—it’s a fun, hands-on way to help your wife and kids grasp the big picture of Bitcoin without getting bogged down by fiat currency conversion rates or charts. Here’s what one husband shared about his experience: **"The first few minutes were rough to play with my wife and two kids under 11. But after the first halving, the light switch turned on in ALL OF THEM. It was a moment I am still struggling to describe—I started tearing up because they seemed to get it. Especially my youngest, who asked in a frustrated way why the Bitcoin reward wasn’t more. I was so impressed by how much they learned by the time we wrapped up the game. My wife was even more interested in our personal cold storage strategy. My kids better understood deflation and value as well. "** 2️⃣ Invite her to the Orange Hatter Women’s Reading Club. In this cozy, women-led space, she’ll find a supportive community to ask honest questions, share insights, and discover the why behind Bitcoin—on her own terms. 🎯 Your next steps: ✅ Download the FREE 21-Bitcoin Lessons PDF to see what lessons HODL UP teaches at freemarketkids.com ✅ Encourage your wife to join the Orange Hatter Women’s Reading Club for empowering conversations in a safe environment. It’s a 3-Legged Stool! 🪑** As parents and grandparents, we all want to prepare our children to thrive in an ever-changing world. But how do we ensure they grow into resilient, confident, and capable individuals? Here’s the answer: success is like a three-legged stool. Each leg represents a critical milestone: 1️⃣ Building Character: Instilling traits like honesty, empathy, and perseverance. 2️⃣ Developing Confidence: Helping children believe they can make a difference in the world. 3️⃣ Understanding How Money Works: Teaching them the big picture of money, not just saving in a piggy bank. Remove one leg, and the stool topples. Together, these elements create a balanced foundation for lifelong success. In my latest article, I explore how these milestones connect, why they’re essential, and how parents can start building this strong foundation today. 📝 Read the full article here: https://www.talilindberg.com/post/the-strong-start-success-path-the-clear-roadmap-to-your-child-s-lifelong-success 💡 What are your thoughts? Here’s how we’re closing it. 🌟 When it comes to Bitcoin, women are significantly underrepresented. But the gap isn’t just about technology—it’s about education and community. At Orange Hatter, we believe that empowering women with financial literacy creates ripple effects far beyond what we can see. That’s why our approach is tailored to women’s unique learning needs through our reading clubs, podcasts, mastermind groups, and storybooks. Here’s an example: One woman joined our Orange Hatter Reading Club with zero knowledge about Bitcoin. Through discussions, shared stories, and supportive community learning, she crossed the barrier of understanding that had once felt insurmountable. Today, she’s using what she learned to teach financial literacy through her own online education program. She’s now reaching families and children, sharing knowledge that will shape their futures. The ripple effect of her efforts will be invisible to us, but its impact will be powerful for the lives she touches. This is why we do what we do—because when women succeed, entire families and communities benefit. Are you ready to start your own journey? 💡 Join the Orange Hatter Reading Club now! 💡 We're kicking off the next session on January 15, 2025. 💡 Together, we can bridge the gap and build a stronger, financially empowered future. Do we want them to feel hopeful, ready to spot fairness and opportunity? Or do we risk making them feel discouraged, filtering for unfairness everywhere they go? In my latest article, I explore how a child’s worldview impacts everything they experience—and how the way we teach them about money, fairness, and resilience is one of the most important contributions we make as parents. 👉 Read the full article here: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/fine-line-teaching-our-kids-bitcoin-without-framing-world-lindberg-titcc Let’s raise kids who are not just financially literate but also resilient, hopeful, and empowered. 🌱 #BitcoinParenting #MoneyLiteracy #ParentingWithPurpose https://m.primal.net/NCcu.jpg npub1q3r28wytn2ff90lvrvf9qvsu72uuvl7lpcpfjs46gdfqmvdgcu0q9s6amn orangehatter 🚗 Life’s a Juggle, But We Made It Work: A Year (and four months) with Orange Hatter Women. Picture this: one mom called in from the side of an ice rink, bundled up while her son played hockey. Another joined from a sunny beach, squeezing in some learning between vacation waves. And yet another, in a completely different time zone, was fighting to stay awake as the rest of us dove into deep discussions. That’s been the heart of Orange Hatter Women since we started in August 2023—messy, chaotic, and beautiful. We kicked things off with Bitcoin and the American Dream: The New Monetary Technology Transcending Our Political Divide None of us really knew what we were doing, but we figured it out together, week by week. Then we dove into Broken Money by @npub1a2c…w83a. Let me tell you, this book was big. Over 40 weeks, we tackled it chapter by chapter. Talking it out made all the difference. Next came The Hidden Cost of Money by @npub1tm2…lpna. This one took us 11 weeks, and we capped it off with a special treat: Seb himself joined us to answer our questions. It was inspiring to connect directly with the author and ask him questions from the readings. Of course, life didn’t pause. Crying babies, power outages, and inflation-induced tears all showed up. But so did we. Week after week, we leaned on each other, shared our stories, and grew together. Now, as we head into 2025, we’re excited to start Fiat Food by Matthew Lysiak and @npub1gdu…6nak. If you’ve been curious about Bitcoin, financial literacy, or just want to learn with a group of supportive women, this is your sign to join us. You don’t have to have it all together—none of us do. 📖 DM me or comment below. The parent replied, "Eye contact could make some kids uncomfortable, so parents shouldn’t force them to do it." While I understand that sensitivity, I can’t help but wonder: If we coddle our children so much that they avoid basic social skills like looking someone in the eye, how can we expect them to develop the strength of character needed to take responsibility for something as important as holding their own Bitcoin? Ever stand in front of a group of blank stares and think, "Is it them or is it me?" Here’s the twist: It’s neither. The real magic happens when we stop playing the blame game and start asking the golden question: "Am I speaking their language?" Think about it: • They're not disinterested – they’re disconnected. • They're not unmotivated – they’re misunderstood. • They're not difficult – they’re different. The game-changer? Meeting them where they are, not where we think they should be. What if we transformed a "boring" economics lesson into a TikTok trend analysis? Then supply and demand wouldn’t just be a theory – it would be a relevant, daily reality. The secret sauce isn’t in WHAT we teach, but in HOW we bridge the gap between their world and ours. 🔥 Pro Tip: Before your next lesson, ask yourself: "If I were in their shoes, would this matter to me?" ❓ What's your most successful strategy for connecting with a disconnected audience? #TeachingInnovation #EducationRevolution #StudentEngagement #TeacherLife #Leadership #PersonalDevelopment #ProfessionalGrowth https://m.primal.net/Mprt.mp4 npub1q3r28wytn2ff90lvrvf9qvsu72uuvl7lpcpfjs46gdfqmvdgcu0q9s6amn orangehatter Thank you! 😊 npub1q3r28wytn2ff90lvrvf9qvsu72uuvl7lpcpfjs46gdfqmvdgcu0q9s6amn orangehatter Thanks Paula! 😊 npub1q3r28wytn2ff90lvrvf9qvsu72uuvl7lpcpfjs46gdfqmvdgcu0q9s6amn orangehatter DAY 10: 10 Key Reasons Why Small Acts of Kindness Build Empowered, Confident Kids Ready for Bitcoin and Beyond 🌟 Day 10: A Kind Heart Leads to a Wealthy Mindset 🌟 Hey, parents! 🌟 In the world of Bitcoin, wealth isn’t just about accumulating money—it’s about developing the right mindset. Bitcoin empowers individuals to think long-term, prioritize their values, and make decisions that build a solid foundation for the future. The same is true when we teach our kids kindness. By raising them with a mindset that values compassion, empathy, and helping others, we’re helping them build true wealth—a wealth of character and relationships. 💛 Just like Bitcoin encourages us to look beyond short-term gains, kindness helps our kids develop the mindset that will guide them through life, making them more prepared to navigate challenges and make smart, fulfilling decisions. Kindness = True Wealth. Let’s teach our kids that true wealth comes from the values we live by and the kindness we show. 🌍 Thanks for following this series! #KindnessMatters #EmpoweredKids #RaisingLeaders #WealthyMindset https://m.primal.net/Molt.jpg https://m.primal.net/MjGz.jpg npub1q3r28wytn2ff90lvrvf9qvsu72uuvl7lpcpfjs46gdfqmvdgcu0q9s6amn orangehatter 🚨 "Just get a bigger loan." 🚨 That’s what my daughter heard from her college’s finance office when she discovered her tuition bill had quietly increased by $1,000 mid-year. She had done everything right—worked hard and saved through the summer, budgeted meticulously, tracked every dollar, and planned ahead—only to have her careful calculations blindsided by rising costs. When she questioned the change, the answer was casual, dismissive. Her classmates? They shrugged, saying, “Oh, we didn’t notice.” This moment captured a bigger issue: 💥 how often we’re taught to feel powerless in the face of rising costs, systemic issues, and economic hurdles. 💥 It reminds me of @sebbunney's discussions in The Hidden Cost of Money on learned helplessness—when people feel that no matter what they do, they can't change their circumstances. But here’s the truth: we CAN change the status quo. Knowledge is the first step, and when one person’s understanding grows, IT RIPPLES OUTWARD, creating movements and communities capable of transforming the future. 💬 Let’s talk about it. Join the conversation at the Orange Hatter Reading Club as we uncover the why behind these issues, discuss empowering solutions, and build the knowledge to make a difference. Bitcoin empowers individuals to take control of their financial future and create a world where people can pursue happiness on their own terms. The same goes for teaching kindness. When we raise kids who practice kindness, we’re not just teaching them to be fair—we’re teaching them that true happiness comes from helping others and creating positive change. 🌍 Just like Bitcoin provides freedom to individuals, kindness creates joy by bringing people together, building stronger communities, and helping others thrive. Kindness = Joy. So how do we help them stay grounded? The answer is simple—kindness. When kids practice kindness, they start building a strong foundation of values. And the stronger their character, the more they’re able to stay true to those values, no matter how many distractions come their way. Just like Bitcoin teaches us to stay true to the values of decentralization, honesty, and community, kindness helps our kids understand what’s truly important. When they know the value of caring for others, they won’t be swayed by every new trend or external pressure. Kindness = Staying true to your values. Every time I attend one of these sessions, I walk away inspired, challenged, and motivated to keep improving. Over the past two decades, I’ve dipped in and out of Toastmasters meetings sporadically. Life was busy, and I never found the time to commit fully. But now, the stars have aligned, and I’m ready to embrace this journey wholeheartedly. My goal? To become a stronger, more powerful communicator who can articulate the critical importance of money literacy education. Here are just a couple of the gems I took away from this meeting: Pace Yourself 🫀: One seasoned speaker shared how he taps his hand over his heart to slow down, pace himself, and articulate his message clearly. It’s a simple gesture, but it’s a reminder that being deliberate in your communication is powerful. Be Yourself 💬: This speaker also reminded us that our unique communication styles are our superpowers. Instead of imitating others, lean into your authenticity—it’s what makes your message truly resonate. Paint Pictures with Words 🎨: A different speaker who shared a vivid story about a NASA scientist preparing his team for a rocket launch in 1969 drove home the power of storytelling to inspire and connect. If you’ve never visited a Toastmasters meeting, I can’t recommend it enough. You’ll meet an incredible community of dedicated people who are all actively working to improve themselves. It’s humbling and invigorating to be surrounded by that kind of energy. Communication is something we all do, every day, all day. Why not invest in becoming more efficient, effective, and impactful? And who knows—you might just fall in love with the process and become a Toastmaster yourself. Here’s to growth, connection, and sharing the messages that matter most. 💡 #Toastmasters #PersonalGrowth #CommunicationSkills #LeadershipJourney npub1q3r28wytn2ff90lvrvf9qvsu72uuvl7lpcpfjs46gdfqmvdgcu0q9s6amn orangehatter DAY 7: 10 Key Reasons Why Small Acts of Kindness Build Empowered, Confident Kids Ready for Bitcoin and Beyond 🌟 Day 7: Bitcoin Helps People Take Control—Just Like Acts of Kindness Empower Kids 🌟 Hey, parents! 🌟 Today, we're diving into the powerful link between empowerment and kindness. In the world of Bitcoin, empowerment is all about giving people control over their own financial future. And guess what? Small acts of kindness can do the same for our kids. When kids practice kindness—whether it's helping a friend, taking responsibility for their actions, or offering a kind word—they feel more capable and in control. This sense of empowerment helps them navigate life's challenges and make smart decisions, especially when it comes to managing money and other resources. Just like Bitcoin helps people take control of their financial futures, kindness empowers kids to take charge of their own lives and make positive choices. The more we encourage kindness, the more our kids will grow into confident, empowered individuals who are ready to face the world. Kindness = Empowerment. Bitcoin is all about people coming together, helping each other, and creating something better. The same is true for kindness. When kids practice kindness—whether it’s helping a neighbor, being patient with a friend, or offering a kind word—they learn how to care for others and understand the power of working together. These simple acts show them that we are all connected and that helping others makes everyone stronger. As they grow, kids who practice kindness develop empathy and the ability to make smart decisions—especially when it comes to sharing resources and supporting one another. Kindness = Stronger communities. The woman had been moved to a nursing home because of Alzheimer’s, and Tux was left behind in her backyard until a rescue group found him. She cried for weeks after losing her dog 😢. Tux stayed at the rescue facility for almost a year, spending most of his time in a kennel...until he came to us. When she saw Tux again this weekend, she was overjoyed—but saying goodbye broke her heart all over again 💔. She begged my daughter to take good care of him. It was a moment that left us all in tears 😭. Stories like this are all too common. In America, many of us dread getting old. We imagine sickness, loneliness, and losing the people (or pets) we love 🧓💔🐕. Worse, we don’t just fear it—we expect it. But why? 🤔 It’s not just bad luck or poor planning. One big reason is that people are fighting to keep up with the rising cost of everything. Inflation is eating away at what our money can buy. Families rely on two incomes—or even multiple jobs—just to survive. As @npub1tm2…lpna explains in The Hidden Cost of Money, this isn’t just about dollars and cents 💵. It’s about time ⏳ and relationships ❤️. When parents are too tired from working, they have little left to give their kids—or their aging parents. So, kids go to daycare and before- or after-school programs, and our elderly are sent to nursing homes. It doesn’t have to be this way. If we all understood how money printing and inflation work, we’d see that this isn’t about politics. 😡 It’s about a system that steals from everyone by reducing the value of the money we hold. The first step to changing this is education 📚💡. Knowledge gives us power—the power to make better decisions for ourselves and our families. That’s what we’re building at Orange Hatter—a place for curious people to learn, share ideas, and take action. If you’re ready to start asking the right questions and finding real answers, join the conversation. Together, we can work toward a future where stories like Tux’s aren’t so common 🐾❤️. 👉 Visit OrangeHatter.com and get involved. 🌟 #FinancialEducation #InflationAwareness #FamilyValues #ParentingTips #KnowledgeIsPower https://m.primal.net/MlAH.jpg npub1q3r28wytn2ff90lvrvf9qvsu72uuvl7lpcpfjs46gdfqmvdgcu0q9s6amn orangehatter 🎉 Celebrating a Big Moment in Ghana! 🎉 This morning, I had the honor of speaking to the first women’s Bitcoin cohort graduates with Bitfiasi Initiative. Thank you, Gideon Kombian and Lydia Sena Ami Kudowor, for inviting me to this celebration! To encourage the graduates, I reflected on my journey, full of unexpected turns, that brought me to where I am today, filled with joy and purpose. Here are some of the pivotal life moments I shared with these amazing women: 👉 Choosing to stay home with my baby (instead of pursuing my career) taught me to follow my heart, not just my head. 👉 Choosing to homeschool for 20 years (instead of sending my kids to school) gave me valuable experience in teaching. 👉 Choosing to go down the Bitcoin rabbit hole (instead of accepting the norm) helped me understand how money really works. 👉 Choosing to devote full time to teaching women about money (instead of getting a "job") gave me the confidence to speak and celebrate the female voice. To the graduates, I said: 💡 “Society may push you to follow the ‘normal’ path, but you have the power to choose what’s right for you. Trust your instincts and values.” Here’s my advice: ✨ Keep an open mind. Bitcoin is just one tool you’ll use in life. ✨ Don’t be afraid to change your path. The unexpected can lead to your greatest growth. I never imagined I’d be here, speaking to such incredible women in Ghana. But trusting my instincts and embracing change brought me to this amazing moment. To the graduates: Congratulations! This is just the beginning. If you educate a woman, you educate a family—and a whole nation."- Dr. James Emman Kwegyir-Aggrey 💡 Women have always been the backbone of families, but when they are financially educated, their impact goes far beyond their households. A financially literate woman can make better decisions for her family, invest in her children's future, and create opportunities that strengthen her entire community. Money literacy is not just about numbers—it’s about power, freedom, and security. It’s about giving women the confidence to take control of their financial lives, make smarter choices, and pass down the knowledge to the next generation. Imagine a world where every woman understands money—how it works, how to save it, and how to grow it. With this knowledge, women can take control of their finances, plan for the future, and make informed decisions that benefit not just themselves but everyone around them. When women are equipped with money literacy, they gain the tools to create security, opportunities, and lasting change for their families and communities. When kids practice kindness, they not only help others, but they also build emotional strength and resilience. This daily practice strengthens their character and helps them become more compassionate and confident individuals. Just like Bitcoin strengthens the financial world, kindness strengthens our kids' ability to navigate life's challenges. In our busy world, we often rush to make things quick and easy. We want them to know all the answers right away instead of giving them time to wonder and explore. But what if we let kids *not know* for a little while? What if we let them start projects they don’t finish or ask questions that don’t have answers yet? 💡 That’s how curiosity grows. The book "When You Wonder, You’re Learning" by Gregg Behr and Ryan Rydzewski talks about how learning happens when we’re curious. When we notice something we don’t understand, it makes us want to learn more. But once we feel like we know everything, that curiosity can go away. So, how does this help when teaching kids about money or Bitcoin? There’s something called the **information gap**. This means kids need to know a little bit about something before they can become interested in it. If we teach money ideas in a way that connects to what kids already know, it helps them stay curious and want to learn more. Fred Rogers (you know, Mister Rogers!) said kids learn best when new ideas feel familiar but also a little mysterious. Mystery makes learning fun! When we teach kids about money or Bitcoin, we should balance what they already know with new ideas that make them wonder. It’s okay if they don’t get it all right away. Their curiosity will help them figure it out over time. #moneyliteracy https://m.primal.net/Mcnm.png npub1q3r28wytn2ff90lvrvf9qvsu72uuvl7lpcpfjs46gdfqmvdgcu0q9s6amn orangehatter 🌟 What Would a World with Unmanipulable Money Look Like?*🌟 This week in the Orange Hatter Reading Club, we dove into Chapter 13 of @npub1tm2…lpna The Hidden Cost of Money and had one of our most thought-provoking discussions yet. We explored what society could look like with a money system that’s non-dilutable and non-manipulable. Imagine this: - People could save confidently, without worrying about their money losing value over time. - Risky investments wouldn’t feel like a *requirement* to keep up with inflation. - Businesses would need to run more responsibly, knowing there are no government bailouts waiting in the wings. - Creative destruction could flourish, allowing outdated businesses to step aside for fresh innovation. - And perhaps most importantly—parents could spend more time with their kids instead of working tirelessly to stay ahead of inflation. Of course, we couldn’t talk about this without diving into the big question: *What does Bitcoin’s future look like now that big players are entering the space?* Let’s just say, the debate was lively and rigorous! We didn’t all agree, but that’s what makes our discussions so valuable—every viewpoint was heard and respected. Next week marks the final meeting of this reading session, and we’re thrilled to welcome **Seb Bunney** himself for a meet-and-greet with our members! After weeks of unpacking his book, celebrating its conclusion with the author will be a special treat. If you’ve been thinking about joining Orange Hatter, this is your moment! They are not only the future leaders but also the future followers. And to prepare them for both roles, we must focus on two essential elements: building a strong character and instilling a deep understanding of money and finance. After all, our financial system touches every aspect of life. But how do we achieve this? First, we help children develop intrinsic self-confidence—something that can only come from kindness and compassion toward others. This is how humans are wired; true self-worth is built through genuine acts of goodwill, not from external rewards like stickers or prizes. The joy that comes from helping others strengthens a child’s inner resilience and self-esteem, creating a foundation that no outside force can shake. Next, we teach them how the world of money works. With a grounded sense of self and a clear understanding of financial realities, they’ll grow up to make informed choices rather than being swayed by propaganda or influenced by superficial narratives. While some believe that Bitcoin alone can change the world, I disagree. This world wasn’t built with money—it was built by the hearts and minds of human beings. To truly create a fairer, more empowered future, we must first fortify the heart with inner strength and then enrich the mind with relevant knowledge and understanding. Only then will we see the change we all want: a world where empowered individuals lead with wisdom and integrity. Last meeting was powerful, and I can’t stop thinking about our conversations. Imagine learning the truth about things we’ve trusted for years—like the food pyramid our parents believed in, only to find out it wasn’t actually healthy. It’s tough to see them trying to unlearn what they thought was right, especially when they’re now facing health issues from a lifetime of poor eating and relying on prescription drugs. It’s the same with money. We tackled a big question: *Can Bitcoin really fix the world?* Some of us think it could be a game-changer for everything—health, education, freedom—while others see it as just a tool that big players might still control. With central banks, big institutions and nation-states involved, will Bitcoin still really be “the people’s money”? We even wondered if, in the end, Bitcoin will help close the wealth gap or if those in power will just own most of it. We didn’t all agree, but it was refreshing to share different ideas without worrying about “polite” correctness. One topic hit close to home—*how we’re raising kids today.* Will they have the strength of character necessary to think on their own, or are we raising a generation of followers? This is why I believe so much in teaching kids about money *and* building their character. It’s more than just “saving money”—it’s about raising kids who think for themselves and question things, like whether inflation has to be part of life or if banks really hold all the power. And the IMF discussion? Wow. It shocked us all to learn just how much wealth has been taken from developing countries in the name of “help.” The truth hit hard—these countries end up worse off, while powerful groups profit from their debt. And then there’s the BIS…an organization few people even know about, yet it controls so much of the world’s money. Learning this opened our eyes to just how much happens that we don’t even see.
