regulus79 fixed a bug where some samples in AudioFileProcessor would cut off before their actual end depending on global sample rate when played in a beat clip. A very *specific* bug, certainly.

The "about" dialogue was broken for a bit - when compiled with clang, it would show as "GCC Clang 21.1.6" instead of "Clang 21.1.6", and the architecture/operating system info was simply missing on all builds. This got fixed in two separate PRs.

The minimum Qt5 version got bumped from 5.09 to 5.15 - you will probably not have to care about this if you're not a packager or dev of LMMS though.
The main benefit of this will be reduced code complexity and improved maintainability, since a lot of old workarounds were able to be removed.

The piano roll window now automatically closes if there is no valid clip selected. Empty projects also now automatically create a new clip when the piano roll is opened, so beginners aren't confused as to what to do.

After a lot of work by many contributors, we finally managed to merge the Qt6 branch into main. This means you can build the master branch with Qt6 instead of Qt5 now.
Note that nightly builds are still using Qt5 for now, since Qt6 support is still fairly new and may be less stable.

edit: a minor correction - windows MSVC builds seem to have Qt6 enabled by default, so you windows users can try Qt6 without compiling it yourselves ^^

Audio resampling was reworked a bit, and among other things you now cannot set the interpolation mode on export anymore, since it can conflict with some instrument plugins. Overall, resampling should now be more performant and less buggy.

You can now glue all notes in a piano roll by simply not selecting any before using the glue action.
Previously this told the user to select some notes first. This change brings glue in line with the other actions, for which this behaviour already existed (where applicable)

Thinking of migrating this account somewhere that supports posting in markdown (or basic html).
would be real handy for linking PRs without having to clutter the text with full links for example…
So if anyone knows a good instance to move to that:
- federates with most other instances
- doesn't run on *key
- is similar in vibe (has to be IT themed, preferably with other projects already there)
- is well moderated (not m.s)
- will stay up (not just a single person as op)
