I followed instructions and didn't open it when I got it. the box was litteraly hot... because post office, so I put it in the fridge for a bit. I'm so sad to hear this... I started following John back in the 90s when he wrote some articles for pc mag or whatever and then when he hosted the zdtv show silicon spin. I have a coffee mug from the show for writing in and John read my comments on the show. No Agenda is a great thing he & Curry created. I will miss him.

spent two days unplugging and replugging in my old jade hardware wallet. wouldn't connect and when it did it wouldn't confirm when sending btc. it would fail. frustrating when you want to send small amounts hair pulling with larger amounts. turned out to be a glitch in the software. if closed the app while connected it would reopen and actually be connected and I was able to send my bitcoin. man, I hope the software for the hardware wallets are better than this jade.

not sure what killed them off early like that, but those small potatoes are all "seed" potatoes and any left in the ground will probably sprout. its a myth that using little potatoes makes smaller potatoes. any of what you harvested is viable as seed for next season.
root crops are designed by nature to break up compacted soil. in conditioned soil, the roots don't have "obstacles" to grow around. that's why potatoes do better in raised bed, but the soil needs to be good too, to produce strong, healthy plants. adding new compost/soil in a bed is important or you're just depleting it soil year after year.
its fun to grow stuff for your family, but potatoes are cheap. I would consider replacing with higher costing produce. get more bang for your buck... so to speak. :)
take a look into #permaculture it will change the way you look at your yard.
