i'd like to clarify something. when you say you're happy to refund people where you can, who is actually eligible for the refund? looking at your website there is an [option](https://mullvad.net/en/help/refunds) to get a refund no later than 14 days after payment. is the offer in your message separate from this and extends to people beyond the 2-weeks limit, or is this just you pointing at your usual refund procedure?
this is important because many of the people who have lost faith in Mullvad after word of Daniel's political donation came up were previously loyal Mullvad VPN customers and trusted Mullvad enough to pay for the service many months in advance
however, with the current refund policy, it seems like they cannot get a refund for the remaining months after 14 days passed since payment, which is very disappointing especially in the context of your message which implies that people generally can get a refund.

It's by far worse because there's seemingly barely any options to get an S/MIME certificate for free. It looks like it's literally just one company and they generate and keep the private keys server-side so it's not really "end to end" encryption at all.

Apparently S/MIME requires one to obtain a certificate from a Certificate Authority to use it... Sounds quite awkward
