Yes there are many examples of genocide when one people overwhelms another:

Mongols erased entire races and civilizations or severely genocided them as in Russia.

Culture is downstream from race. This is why all European peoples, be they in US, Australia, or elsewhere have similar cultures. Africans everywhere also have cultures more similar to each other than to Europeans.
Although people may mimic or adopt cultures of another race, they cannot create or improve those cultures. Culture is created amongst a homogeneous population. Some people are capable of producing high culture and civilization from it.
Culture is lost when it is mixed into other cultures. If you take all the colorful crayons in a box and melt them together, you get an ugly grey.

The strategy and events were different in different regions. The Frankish Holy Roman Emperor Charlemagne had the most impact on Germania. There were many German tribes with various similar religions. You're creating a straw man because I never said that Europeans were not always at war with each other. from what little history and artifacts survived Christianity's war on the classical religions, the pre-Christian religions were decentralized and not such a controlling aspect of their civilization. Different peoples had different gods and traditions. They did not go to war to force people to their religion but did war for other reasons.
