Interestingly in that article there was no mention of the part played for years by various prominent Tories, and there is no mention of 🐸 or Reform UK at all, nor of the part certain print media played in creating and reinforcing the hate and resentment against immigrants or persons of colour.

Today the brainless Cooper is talking about tackling ’extreme misogyny’. As I noted in an earlier comment, it would be a good idea to start with the ‘acceptable’ misogyny first. Everything springs from that. Teaching Respect and Consent is the very beginning of dealing with this - respect for oneself, respect for others and consent before crossing another person’s boundaries (touching them).

The governments of some countries are clearly complicit: but the weekly protests show the people of those countries are not. Unfortunately the people can’t do anything except protest, and even that has constraints, until their next opportunity to elect ministers. That bit of sea between Ireland and England/Scotland/Wales holds Beaufords Dyke where thousands of tons of munitions, ordnance, chemicals and such was dumped after the wars, and subsequently. As years have gone by a lot of that has drifted on tides and currents and occasionally washes up in fishing nets or on beaches. (1/2)

Can’t bring their families, and having to pay more, why would anyone want to come? There’s going to be a considerable gap as it takes years to train skilled medical personnel. 🤣 He literally told the advertisers to ‘fuck off’ live on air a few months ago. I cannot see his case having merit, as advertisers are free to choose where they want their product promoted - and they certainly don’t want it associated with someone actively promoting the destruction of economy, democracy and more. Advertisers like to keep the fantasy that we all live in a nice world and have spare money to buy their stuff.

No we don’t. It’s intimidation, plain and simple. There’s no ‘understanding’ involved. There have been a whole spate of racist intimidation, and sectarian intimidation in the same small town. Loyalist and Union flags, big bonfire construction, paint thrown at new built homes, windows smashed, people’s cars vandalised. The vandalised cars belonged to NHS staff, who are on visas from other countries. These gutter #scum don’t deserve a life outside a jail.

Regardless of whether the graffiti painters are 8 - 88 and everything g in between, this is disgusting, and they must be visible on CCTV footage as this is being painted all over Antrim town.
There are no excuses ever; the perpetrator/s [and it looks like there’s only one] should be identified, named and shamed by anyone who knows them.
