As ive said dozens of times. It will be between $70-80 trillion in 2035.
It actually puts us a bit closer to $41 trillion at the end of this year than $40 in my estimation.
It takes us to $53 Trillion by 2030, just four years from now.
Then we add another $20 trillion, almost half of the entire current debt, in only the next 5 years after that reaching around $75 trillion.
This obviously won’t be a straight line and there will be sharp years and shallower ones, but they will both be “sharp” and “shallow” in respect to how enormous their addition to the debt is. Not there there will be any pause or reversal in this trend… in any respect whatsoever. A literal revolution would need to occur to turn this around.

Yeah I’ll add that into the workflow. I tried it a few times back and realized when verifying that the models were literally just making up time codes that didn’t have anything to do with context. So I needed to setup something that explicitly scripted the time to then feed to the model as an output rather than having the model interpret it. I simply never got back to it. I’m sure it’s way easier today and I can probably just get Jarvis to knock it out

Hence, "it's always darkest before the dawn." Part of my point is that it's about to get really uncomfortable for everyone whether they decided to be complacent and submissive or not. The last half decade has already woken up many people because of this very dynamic, imo. Seeking comfort through compliance will just come with pain anyway, and because of that we continue toward a threshold that will eventually tip over and I suspect will unravel an extraordinary amount of what we consider "normal."
The people who present a viable alternative will have an enormous upper hand and opportunity to influence the new direction of the world. That's why building everything *we* want to see is our best bet, imo.

The masses are always reactionary. It’s really easy to be hopeless when things are getting worse, but “the night is darkest before the dawn” isn’t just a fun thing to say, it reveals something fundamental about human nature: both individually and collectively we will almost invariably put things off until we *have* to do them. When it becomes obvious that things are a wreck, we’ve taken the wrong path, and trusted the wrong people, that’s *exactly* what creates the pressure for change.
You are right that most people seem broken and defeated, that it feels like the cage is closing in and we are being overwhelmed, but that is exactly why we should be optimistic, imo. To the contrary of this being a recipe for things staying the same, true change has always been *avoided* until things start to feel exactly this way. All meaningful change has always occurred during a time that felt like “the end of the world,” because in a way it is. It’s the end of how we used to do things, and the beginning of something new.
At least that’s how I see it.

The idea of using this as the way to favorite a driver (the very thing Lyft and Uber wont let you do) is fucking amazing. One thing you need to understand more than ANYTHING else if you want this idea to work:
YOU NEED ONE SUSTAINABLE NETWORK.
Do not try to get more driers or adoption everywhere at once. Do ONE city and try to get a threshold where there are enough available drivers and users to actually be sustainable by itself. Then branch out. This will take a very direct and concerted effort though.
I would read The Cold Start Problem by Andrew Chen if you want a view of the network effects this is up against. It would be amazing to see something like this succeed, but I think the hard part isn’t building the app, imo.

I need to push the fix for the hypercores bloating. There’s a part of the cleanup after delivery that gets hung up sometimes and uses up extra space that it doesn’t need to. I have been meaning to get that fixed but we’ve been working on a refactor. Keep an eye out and update when the new versions drop. Right now this is still super alpha so lots will change.

This is because they *are* using a fish eye lens. It will appear concave and curve the opposite way if your straight line is below the halfway mark of the lens.
I can take a wide lens and make any curved object or straight line appear convex or concave or straight depending on where I place the lens in relation.
This doesn’t really give us anything of value to say one way or the other. They are obviously using a wide lens if you just look at the close up objects and try to draw straight lines.

Why would the sun be static under one assumption and then not under the other? The question is a simple application either model: is the sun moving across the sky or not? It wouldn’t support either model to take video and have it appear stationary. But obviously if you record for long enough it will move… so how does this apply in any way?
My proof: take a video of a blade of grass. Is it growing or stationary? Now do it over a few weeks. What’s the difference?

Things like Nostr, Bitcoin and Lightning SDKs, Peardrive core, etc are going to make it even easier to do secure authentication, simple monetary integrations, and simple sovereign hosting or private connections.
This was VIBE CODED people! Even though I’ve not shared our many iterations, I’ve had this exact experience. Getting a basic tool for P2P sharing working in a few hours and then just fixing quirks and UI stuff for a few days to make it feel cleaner.
Things like the Pear stack, and Iroh, and Holesail (fyi @nprofile…ta3h drop Tailscale and just use Holesail here, much simpler UX) are huge leaps forward in the ability to self host these things.
My hope as well is that Peardrive core makes this so utterly simple to build with that amateur coders could use it in a way that feels no different than simple web development. And what you can do when you unleash people to create anything they can imagine is just wild.
We are going to win, but we will be waiting for it to happen until everyone reading this post realizes that YOU CAN JUST BUILD THINGS!

I think pressure builds and then things snap when stress tested. 2020 was a stress test of a long tail fidelity loss and cultural degradation, imo. It only revealed the truth that a lot of still sane people weren’t aware of, because the “urban bug men” still looked sort of sane in general day to day operations. It wasn’t until some lower layer reality revealed itself that the delusions and inaccuracies of their mental models were clearly visible.
At least that’s how I’ve been thinking about it for the past week or so in the context of that article.

To be more clear, what you are talking about is a situational evil, not a systemic one.
There are countless of these examples to pull from, but they require individual response, they are core to the structure of what is being done. I don't think you understand what "too-big-to-fail" means or where it comes from then.
Monopoly is also not a common outcome of free markets. To the contrary it is almost exclusively a result of government interference. If you think you have an example to the contrary, you likely aren't looking at it very hard or are simply recalling what we were all forced to remember without any real understanding from our 5th grade history books.

My one “really!” Thing about this is that the country wasn’t invaded, the leader doesn’t seem to have been used as an excuse for a forever war and a trillion dollar process of rebuilding with a staggering decade long racket for govt contractors, all to leave them no better off than they started.

The people who say "but the data says" and ignore the enormous amount of ambiguity and bias in *recording that data,* and the core fact that all studies and all science begins with anecdotal data and personal experience, have completely reversed the logic of science.
If you ignore direct experience that occurs with immediate temporal connection in literally 1000s of people, and then shortly thereafter in an order of magnitude more, you've not merely made a joke out of science, you've let the perception of "medical authority" override your common sense.

You have quite a number of false equivalencies and strawmans in this comment, too many to even respond to sensibly. So I'll just say that the idea of claiming that a piece of data is sound merely because it is a piece of data, will immediately lead you to a million absurd conclusions and contradictions. And its anyone who misses basic incentives and obvious lies that is missing the nuance. It is, without any ambiguity, the extablishment narrative that has almost zero nuance and explicitly shuts down and disallows debate or any questioning of the clear contradictions and falsehoods in the "official facts."
