Oh i don’t rip cd’s anymore. But in my vlc I have 9 albums, 70 videos & 90 singles that I listen to. I already know what I like as do you & this curated selection is enough for the rest of my life. Ok there’s a little bit of coding required if you want the audio files that I admittedly didn’t put in the original post. You have to put the letters “pi” after the word youtube but before ‘.com’ This will take you to a site that will let you download the mp3/mp4 unless you want to do it the hard way and download it via yt-dlp using the terminal. Assuming you’re on a desktop and not a mobile device which is what most people using this protocol are using.

Back when I was younger we had these things called CDs that held all of your music and you didn’t have to stream it over the internet when you wanted to listen. You didn’t need the internet at all. You didn’t even need the CD really. That was kinda just a master copy.
Anyway there’s this program called VLC and you take the music files that you want to listen to and you play them through this program on the device of your choice and you don’t need the internet or a corporation telling you what to listen to. It’s kinda like nostr.

How one comes up with their unit of account can be personal.
As I said when I first started this npub, I prefer pre 1965 silver coins as a unit of account.
However since the latest fiat denominated run up even this has proven to be much harder. I used to be able to price small things like sandwiches in dimes but there’s not really anything reliably smaller than silver dimes in that currency.
Sats are a little too volitile to price in. One would need an external reference to guage purchasing power for accounting purposes since most people don’t use them.
People like @nprofile…4j8y that actually use it as a MoE all the time prices in $ but settles in ₿ . I recently began personally quoting ₿ in ounces of Au. I think personally @nprofile…73yl uses it as a straight unit of account but some of his investors wait until they deploy the $ capital to change it into btc then price gains in btc once it’s already in the system. It’s just a weird time to be honest.
