I listed death cult apps because that’s what most people use, and I knew anyone who didn’t use said apps would be sure to tell me.

Do not worry, I interpreted no hate and I appreciate the response. You make solid points, but to clarify we went from $69,000 down to about $16,000 in the bottom of the bear, then ran from 16k to 125k (I know you were talking 2021 dump specifically but just pointing this out). From the 2022 bottom to the 2025 top was ~680% increase.
Regarding alternate approaches to bringing people into Bitcoin, I agree with you. And if you listen to my podcast @npub10qr…xqj8 you know that I rarely talk about price for more than a couple minutes, unless it’s in the general context of vibes.
That said, NGU is still Bitcoin’s best marketing. I wish more people cared about FGU but they simply don’t. i’m still going to keep talking about a lot of the FGU stuff, both with regard to Bitcoin, and with regard to other open source freedom tech, but every once in a while, I do cave in and throw out a post about price and historical context.
I don’t know where Bitcoin will be in one year or even four years, and honestly that doesn’t concern me too much. What concerns me is 10, 20, 30 and 50 years in the future. There is a storm coming, and I firmly believe Bitcoin is the best way to weather that storm and come out stronger on the other side.

For context, on December 18, 2013 Bitcoin had crashed from highs around ~$1200 to ~$522… a 56.5% drop…
We’ve just gone from $125,000 to $64,000, a 48.8% drop.
Almost exactly four years after the I AM HODLING post, in December 2017, Bitcoin hit an ATH of $19,783, a 3,690% increase.
If Bitcoin pulls the same move it did from 2013 to 2017, then we’ll be at $2,425,000 in 2030…
But of course, you may think that’s unrealistic… so what if Bitcoin did one QUARTER of the 2013-2017 four year move?
We’d be at $654,000 per bitcoin in February 2030, with a market cap of $13.34 trillion.
Now, you may think that’s STILL unrealistic, but a $13.34T market cap for Bitcoin in 2030 is just over 1/3 of gold’s market cap TODAY in 2026 of $35.7 trillion.
What I’m trying to say is stop crying and stack harder.
