Agreed.
Another feature is the "lightness" of development.
If I were to create a convetional web app, and release it to the public, I am then responsible for the data hosted on the back end for all future users.
With #nostr, back end user data is taken care of, and I don't have that future burden, so I am much more likely to want to release a small project the public.
So nice.

And more importantly, the internet is permissioned because IP addresses have to be assigned. Nostr is permissionless because nsecs don't need to be assigned. We need to get away from IP addresses.
It's the original sin of TCP/IP.

Are you doing your own developing? The developer you use will really give you what you are looking for.
You can of course change in Photoshop, which is what I have found works best. Of course that isn't "authentic", but it lets you save photos that you probably wouldn't find acceptable otherwise.
Otherwise high speed film is more contrast-y, but also MUCH more grainy, which isn't a bad thing. Also great for night time shots. Costs more.

If you really want to go down the rabbit hole, you can make your own film. That will give you a look unlike most anyone else.

#NOSTR depreciates the importance of note transport, to focus on identity, and note type.
If you have a proper identity system, how you get the message between identified individuals really doesn't matter much.
Send the note via relays, ham radio or carrier pigeons: regardless of the path, the receiver can identify the sender, and decode the note type.
This depreciation of the transport layer, makes NOSTR more resiliant because the main attack vector on a social network is message transport. Governments can attack transport, but it is very hard to attack identity.
In Nostr, transport can change and evolve as needed. We need to depreciate transport as much as possible while still maintaining a useful working system.
