A man bullying a woman is very different to one woman discriminating against another woman because reasons. How is it polite or fair to force the woman in the first scenario to speak as though she's the woman doing the bullying in the second?

If your case is that someone male shouldn't be allowed in a female-only environment, it seems pretty necessary you refer to them as male consistently. Otherwise you will be made to look like you, too, believe in singling out a particular type of woman.

One thing I looked at in Unkind was the way those trying to give 'scientific' justifications for gender stereotypes throw in the stereotypes in the midst of lists of biological markers related to reproductive difference e.g. Baron-Cohen in The Essential Difference >
