I had a realization recently that my next business venture will be something that harnesses the natural abundance of the Earth itself. I was watching a video on bio char which is quite interesting, but just imagining how I would feel to have a business that is profitable that also benefits Mother Nature… really sounds like the move.

Most bitcoin conferences are struggling with attendance.
It’s partly because it’s a bear market, partly due to interest in AI, but I would argue if you’re a builder now is the absolute best time to go to a conference.
The people who show up during bear markets are the true builders. The ones who are in it for more than just the financial gains.
So far this year, I’ve been to @nprofile…dfsj , @npub167n…zu3r , two @npub17cy…4ml3 unconferences, @nprofile…h5zp , @nprofile…sn39 (my favorite event, hardly a conference) and @nprofile…ztm5 Vegas.
Unfortunately I will miss a great one in Vancouver next month: @nprofile…nmgp
But I will be in Surabaya, Indonesia for the My First Bitcoin unconference and Bitcoin Asia in Hong Kong. Make sure to reach out and say hello if you’ll be at either of these in August.

You can run a bitcoin full node on a cheap raspberry pi with a 2TB external SSD.

Every time I post positively about Nostr on X it’s crickets. Zero response.
But the minute I complain and say Nostr is “failing miserably” I get a ton of engagement and even a response from @nprofile…5hgr
The algorithm on X is designed for negativity. I don’t think Nostr is failing miserably, I understand it’s a platform not a protocol, and this little experiment is proof that we need Nostr more than ever.

I despise censorship and value free speech as much as anyone but if I make a post and someone starts commenting extremely vulgar language that is fundamentally associated with me and my reputation.
Maybe it’s technically not feasible but I do think the author of a post should be able to remove replies.

I think we are about to see a massive resurgence in Bitcoin culture.
Not because of price.
Not because of treasury companies or nation states…
But because there is an idea whose time has come, bitcoin physics.
It’s going to be hard even for the most intelligent bitcoiners to grasp it, but that’s okay.
After all, bitcoin is more of an ego test than an IQ test.
We all went through a period of time where we didn’t “get it.”
My encouragement is to keep an open mind and explore the paper written by @nprofile…wllg and @nprofile…52j6
