In 2009, the paedophile, Jimmy Savile was interviewed under caution by police in Surrey and Sussex. Subsequently, the police referred 4 cases to the CPS (Crown Prose Service) alleging that Savile had raped at least three learning disabled girls under the age of 16.

When you login there will be a Migration Tool in the left hand menu which will display all your nip-15 products and you can republish each product in the nip-99 format
Your original nip-15 listings stay as they are, we do not delete them, but they will not be shown through the Plebeian app... they can still be seen in any nip-15 compatible markets 👍

We have to abide by UK laws... nostr doesn't suddenly bypass the laws of any country unfortunately... it's good but not that good
Even though we never touch the money (ever, it is truly decentralised and p2p) we would still be held responsible... so yeah there's a zero tolerance policy, instant ban and removal
Technically we can delete items from our own relay but not from other relays
If you want to buy/sell that stuff and are in a country where it is legal then you can take the code and install it on your own website or node
Plebeian Market is not a platform in the traditional sense... it's just one instance of a website using the Plebeian open source solution and we're dedicated to bitcoin and nostr maxis

Yes Matt there's a full multi-vendor shopping cart and yes you can sell digital products too
Eventually (2 weeks) we'll supply an installation guide so that people can create their own marketplaces... all will be totally interoperable... so you can show other peoples products on your site if you so wished AND anyone can show your products on their website

Boring but I just have to say this for the record... no you can not suddenly sell drugs, guns, or any NSFW stuff on Plebeian Market... it has to abide by the laws of the UK
If you live in a country where you are legal to sell that kind of thing then setup your own instance of Plebeian app... we'll be providing an installation guide soon
In all honesty though the dark market should stay in the dark net imo... if it works don't fix it... nostr isn't an improvement it's very clear net
We've got a very strict policy on PM... instant permanent ban and removal

Good question ser... I don't know about embedding it on any site... maybe as @nprofile…re37 has suggested an iframe but the checkout might cause issues... But a widget?! thats a great idea
Alternatively you can run your own instance of the plebeian app but that might be overkill
Regarding the v4v... absolutely yes... it's up to the seller how they want to share whatever % of the sale and with any npub that has a working wallet 👍

Yes.... plebeian market is just a single "instance" of the plebeian app... eventually we will release an installation guide so that anyone with a vps server can install it on their own website
International shipping is always a challenge... nothing we can really do bout that apart from hook into some of the global delivery companies to make it easier for people to arrange that
The solution is ultimately designed to build and support local circular economic communities 👍

yup... the previous storefronts were all nip15 so each merchant needs to login and hit the migrate button for each product... the migration tool recreates the nip15 product as a nip99 one and it will show in their shop... the original nip15 product is left in tact and still exists in whatever markets show nip15 products... hope that helps 👍

Hello Beejay… I’m afraid we can’t delete anyone’s stalls without their permission and action… only you can do that (in the new version)
We haven’t moved to nip99 yet so your login problem isn’t related to that
There isn’t anything new to learn with the migration tool, it just guides you along… we can’t automate everything because you have total control… it’s nostr, it’s your keys, so we have to get your permission for every action
I’m really sorry to hear you’re disappointed in your sales… please understand this is a self funded grass roots project… there is no marketing budget
We’ve been building this in a very volatile and innovative environment, constant changes and many pivots… as such, after 4 years of coding we are 3 years behind where we should be
The new code will be released imminently… things should be smoother… but there will be bugs and a tonne of improvements
please remember we’re not Amazon, we don’t have thousands of developers and $billions to throw around
Just three guys coding on a shoestring

The nip99 "classified ads" architecture is simpler and then we build the complexity into the extension of it... the other projects all agreed and so everyone can build whatever they like and still be interoperable

Correct (kind of)... We do have a migration tool so that anyone who has created products already on our site will be able to migrate them to the new version.
A while ago, 4 of the marketplacee projects came together and agreed on a rewrite of the nip-99 and created an extension to it.

As I said though I am open to providing a way to making it backwardly compatible. This is also a function that someone else might build as a plugin to the Plebeian solution since we will be opening up an app/plugin marketplace.

The government are pushing ahead regardless of the peoples will... look at the the original petition that a record 3 million people signed.
They issued their response to the public poll on 2nd October BEFORE any debate... clearly a move to shut down the momentum of the petition... and a statement that a decision (by decree/fiat) has already made.
