Because otherwise you're immoral and/or a moron.
Natural immunity (the fee system) would be ignored and wearing a mask (knots node filters) would not be enough to do the trick.
To stop the spread we should change bitcoin's dna permanently, using a "temporary" solution (don't worry: "safe and effective!")
People you don't know would start shouting at you for not being for the dna changing vaxx and wearing a mask.
The "solution" needs to be rushed, people need to be all worked up, and almost no one is informed about the possible long term consequences of fighting mild symptoms, with a dna changing proposal, while ignoring the natural immunity already in place and working.
I am a bit weary after the covid years combined with people repeating certain behavior under just a bit of (peer) pressure...
"If it ain't broke, don't fix it" might be suitable here as well. We literally start forever wars trying to fix what wasn't broken in the world. And it is not in our benefit.

Exactly that way. One port on a Netgate router reserved and isolated and a vpn setup as gateway. Also pfsense set up to block and log any dns leak attempts. From any mobile device I cary an aways on vpn with killswitch. And only tor connection to a node. Takes some time to set up and some fault finding sometimes, because not all vpn connections like tor connections going over them.

And even then, we put our trust in the hardware we buy and trust the node software (and verify the hash maybe) we run on it.
We increase the chance of having great privacy transacting by running our own node(s), but never trust blindly.
If you can't figure out how to hide node activity from your ISP (who scans&logs&sells your data) with the use of a vpn or tor, I'd also suggest to those people to not disclose to the world (continuously syncing the blockchain) that they're into bitcoin and attaching your real IP doing so. Because that would decrease their safety, whilst just wanting to increase privacy...
I might also be overly cautious, but that is because I don't trust easily.

Our dogs eat mostly meat with some veggies, like us. No supermarket (sugery or bad oil or corn) cheap shit. And the cats, they get some fish or meat and whatever they can hunt and catch outside on our land. They seem happy in their role of a killing machine.

The dry food at the vet isn't much better either. The dry food has some components they managed to get out of food no longer good for human consumption (how bad can it be) using very high temperatures. That "food" is the cereal I mentioned.
If you give a dog good and wet food, "surprisingly" their teeth stay healthy too. Almost like a dog in the wild: a wolf.
No brushing teeth, or dental sticks required. So strange 🙄

Yes. We went back to the old ways. We eat good food and we cook for the animals too, leaving out the stuff we know is bad for them (like onoins). They never looked better, had more energy or were more eager to eat when it's time to eat again.
Kids don't grow up healthy when their only food is cereal. Neither is it for a cat or dog. And vet education has been captured and sponsored now by big food too.

Proof of work. It is the work for which you receive the fees when finding/mining a block. You did the work, you deserve the money.
If on the other hand you choose to keep a copy of the blockchain on a node, you did nothing different than any other copier of the blockchain regardless of its content. You're also not compensated by transaction fees for choosing to have a node.
It is needed to have everyone in the network active because verification is also important. But when you choose to keep a cheap node, for the mission of decentralization and mainly your own privacy when transacting, don't complain it costs you your lunch money. Nobody expects you to do or own anything and the world aint fair.
In the early days it used to be just one piece of software, wallet&miner&node in one. Now we have the option to choose what we do and who choose to be in the network.
Now if you want to make money you do have to put in the work too.
And on the other hand if you want to transact or fill a block with other data, you should pay. And that already happens. Spamming is cheap because there are not a lot of transactions. No one is fighting for space.
If one day transactions increase again per block, prices increase for spam and transactions which reduces spam and makes people think again about dumb on-chain purchases.
As a miner myself, I like the blocks to be full and people to be fighting for space. It's all spam to me. Realising ofcourse that "the cure for high prices are high prices" and it won't last forever until one form of demand destruction has been realized again and prices drop to fair value again. Right now the hardcore miners are going through a rough couple of years to stay mining and secure the network.
I personally would like to see the fees increase with MORE use of the blockchain and/or the hashrate to reduce a bit. Hashrate is reducing now lately because it's very tough to stay a miner, because for many it is no longer profitable...

Elon does the same. Heck, Trump even does the same thing. And they are all not very worried about what they said or even promised yesterday when their own profits go up. Don't conect too much to these people (or god forbid: worship) because they make so much sense, they could be 100% playing you for their own profit for you to be holding the bag and they don't care afterwards that they needed to break a promise for their own profit. I don't know why people want what they want. Personally I don't need to agree with what people want or stand in their way of doing what they want. However, (in)actions do have consequences. Always.
What people do with the freedom they have is between them and their god to be judged upon their actions. I may have an opinion, but I won't choose to stand in the way of people's freedom based on the assumption they will misuse that freedom because they have the chance to choose to do wrong things.
The concusion that I therefore want bad things is just narrowminded, but also understandably typical of the times we live in with people being set up against each other.
Again, put your theory to the test and apply it to another protocol and see how good things go when you start to deny people freedom because you assume they will use it for bad things. See how well that goes for TCP/IP or Tor or Nostr.
