I think it must be trying to save both through the signal and directly and then fails as it already exists. But if you put a check into the signal method, it doesn’t exist already so it would still create the UserProfile and then fail when the admin creates it.
Any ideas?

@npub1mjx…httg Hi Will! I’ve been playing with your UserProfile tutorial https://learndjango.com/tutorials/django-userprofile-model and have found a problem with the admin side.
Because it’s an Inline form in the Admin, the save fails when you try to add a new user with “UNIQUE constraint failed: users_userprofile.user_id”

I’m trying to work out if it’s possible to set your example up completely rootless (albeit with Caddy) with different users for each service. With all the isolation, it seems impossible to use different users for each service but join to the same frontend-network. I guess I need just one podman user to run all my services under.

I’ve been having a poke around with Java (haven’t really touched it since leaving Uni in 2001) to try and see if I can help with @npub1x59…gect ‘s https://github.com/edent/SuperTinyIcons/issues/802
But crikey it’s complicated to compile with dependencies… gradle and maven are gobbledygook compared with python’s pip and venvs!
