I searched around a bit and found the `vlf` (View Large Files) packages on GNU ELPA, which may be of interest to you. It says in its description that it works over TRAMP as well.

Do you mean logs on one extremely long line? Emacs 31.1 doesn't have changes for that specifically. The 29.1 release from a couple years back did introduce some optimizations for handling long lines, along with the `long-line-threshold` variable to control when these optimizations kick in.

In all likelihood, it can be changed, but unlike the advertising ID, Windows doesn't expose functionality to change the ID.

I'm a lisper. Mostly Common Lisp, some Scheme in the past, too. I found you through your Reddit post. I haven't been able to find any other lispers on Nostr yet, though. Only Mastodon accounts bridged to Nostr.
