definitely goes into reputation and trust as the underlying currency for sure. If you do right by your players, I guess it shouldn't matter the revenue stream haha. In theory 😄

yeah this is where the contention lies with subscription. It can be seen as predatory. Its always affected by operational costs and in turn inflation of the economy you pay your servers on etc. it's not a cut and dry option unfortunately so I'm curious what developers and gamers alike in general prefer

hahah definitely feel you. I watched and re-watched, read and re-read so many damn times. What got me through it was first watching it through this edited series called "One Pace" - which makes the pacing a bit more bearable. Having only recently finally reach the latest, it was well worth the "grind" for me. Its my #1 anime right now 😂

Great question! For context, I've only ever tried phaser as a js/ts game engine. While phaser basically has x10 of kaplay's resources, I felt that kaplay's ECS made it very easy to reason about my code.
I have also been taking an approach of building systems rather than full blown games, keeping aspects of my game reusable in other games. This approached coupled with kaplay's built-in components + custom components, really made it enjoyable to progress
Phaser allows us to do things in any way we want, while nice for flexibility, i like having nicely abstracted APIs and kaplay scratched that itch for me personally

I really wonder what's holding back companies from adopting corporate work infrastructure using Linux instead of windows. Yes Microsoft teams is alright but surely there are alternatives which would be supported in Linux right?
