Everything about it is just like last week. Nothing changed.

That you shouldn't trust a device to generate the entropy.
That's it.
Self custody didn't fail. The HWW didn't leak the seed. The feature to generate entropy on the device failed.

I think the most fundamental lesson of this fiasco is to take entropy generation very seriously AND TO DO IT YOURSELF. Don't trust an electronic device for this.
I don't think the lesson is to simply trust an other device. I don't think the lesson is to completely drop the idea of a HWW that secure a seed (as opposed to a solution like seedsigner). I don't think the lesson is that podcasters with sponsors are evil.
The lesson is *generate a seed yourself*.
Tho I do understand if your next lesson is to simply not trust these devices at all from now on.

I do not believe you can find a more refined leather holster on the market today.

- Most are made from hand-dyed leather. Beautiful in its own right, but in my opinion it cannot match the depth, consistency, and character of a world-class Italian tannery.
- Most are machine stitched. Perfectly functional, but a hand saddle stitch remains the strongest stitch in leatherworking while offering a level of refinement no machine can truly replicate.
- Most use polyester thread. It works, but I believe plastic has no place in a premium leather good. Linen belongs with leather. Visually, materially, and philosophically. They are on the same frequency.
- Most are stitched at around 4 mm spacing. This holster is stitched at 3 mm using a French-style slanted saddle stitch, creating a finer, denser, and more elegant appearance.
- Most are unlined. This one is fully lined with leather, adding rigidity, helping protect the firearm's finish, and creating a cleaner and unique interior.
I'm open to make custom holster if you're interested. Depending on the level of customization you're looking for be prepared to pay around 250$-350$.
It's not cheap but within industry standard from what I've seen and I believe mine are better. DM me or send an email. I'll probably answer faster by email.

It's either that or nodes simply have ZERO influence at all. That would go against what I've seen most people talk about over the years when they discuss economic nodes and their important during a fork.

I like this tweet from Saylor. Imo the power of "an economic node" is not simply in the verifying of transactions like some claim it is. This is not the part that makes a node gain influence. It's probably more accurate to describe a node with influence as a "providing node". What can I obtain if can communicate value with this node? What do I lose If my node or his node fork off.
The lower you are situated in the supply chain the more influential your node is. I guarantee you that the farmer as more influence than you as a consumer. If the farmer fork off, you might just fork off too. If you fork off, the farmer probably won't give a fuck.

When it comes to leather the provenance of the raw hide is, at least to my knowledge, irrelevant. A cowhide from the USA, Canada or France is a cowhide.
Where you'll find a real difference is in the tannage. That's where the real craftsmanship lies. Every tannery has their technique. Their own "recipe" if you will.
- Type of tannage
- Retanning
- Oils and waxes
- Fatliquoring
- Dyeing method
- Aniline level
- Pigmented finish
- Grain correction
- Drying method
A cowhide from Italy is just a cowhide. A leather coming out of Badalassi Carlo tannery is unmistakably Italian.
