Without F-droid, and other sideloaded applications... i don't see why I shouldn't just get an iPhone next time.
There was always this compromise that Android users (at least on the higher/developer/technical end) would accept. I get to install whatever I want, I get to have a pocket computer, and in exchange I accept a less polished experience, less mainstream (and offen worse versions of) apps, and 4 groups (AOSP, Google, manufacturer, cellular provider) dictating what is baked in and running on my device. I get a little worse battery life, a little less all around for freedom.
Now suddenly, a bunch of apps are refusing to work if your device is rooted for no good reason (Trimble Copilot truck GPS, why the hell do you care?!) and Google itself pulling this shit.
They are breaking the bargain, the only line they didn't have to cross... So, if I don't get the benefits anymore... why not take the polished experience, the 5000% increase in available accessories, the more social experience?
They're going to lose users trying yo extract more from them. Classic late-stage capitalism self-eating.

You can now buy a brand new from Commodore, Commodore 64.
As in, made by the company that for all legal intents is Commodore. Not a licensee, and not Linux running an emulator.
It's got some new hardware inside, but it's as close as modern hardware and convenience will allow.

On one hand, it protects the server from defederation and does the same functional job as deleting posts.
But to the user, it just looks like their post isn't popular. Nothing to get upset about, nothing to notice, nothing that will snowball into something worse.
It's the most gentle method, the lowest trauma.
That being said, this assumes the user only needs occasional moderation. If this is having to happen on a regular basis, then the admin shouldn't worry about removing posts as much as blocking their account from posting and telling the user that their account is exportable to another instance.

I mean, it's better and worse than that.
We're pretty much told this is a private security firm by the ads and the fact that the people served are called "subscribers".
On one hand, this means that they likely have authorized access to these systems and they are hacking through network misconfiguation and a failure to port forward as needed.
On the other, we don't really know if "subscribers" are more like patrons who pay to support the widespread system, or if its more literally only subscribers get their calls taken... which is much much worse, especially since these meta vs meta conflicts are far more existential than routine policework.

It seems to work pretty much like a local music application on my phone. Though, that may be the random client I got form F-droid.
It does seem a lot more responsive than Jellyfin or Spotify though. Opens quick and gets to playing quickly.

if it helps at all, Phillips Hue is just ZigBee with dipping mustards and the hub supports random ZigBee devices I have a few Innr bulbs that it controls just the same.

Sorry, this kind of thing just rubs me the wrong way.
You and I both know if LBP were entrusted to a smaller developer (or better yet but unrealistic made open source) then LBP would be on PC yesterday. For huge companies, it's not even that it makes a profit, but that it makes a huge profit. Simultaneously, they don't want to give up the source for potential future profits.

More tools, the ability to copy rather than move a stubborn game, why not containerize older Linux titles like Saints Row 2 so all the necessary libraries are static? I tried it, and honestly... I feel bad for the Chinese users. Seems like they truly have a nice community going on... They have no clue who is moving in. I hope they like conspiracy theories.
Also "MontgomeryGator" has something banned in it. The UI just immediately deleted everything in the text field at "MontgomeryGat"
I hate that the choices are "use your government name (Google/Facebook login) or Phone Number.

It's been years since I used a Mac for work, but that was my experience with Mac too. A lot of things I expected there to be a system utility or free app for, there was only paid things.

It's been scanned in deep detail, every crack and stroke. In 1000 years, that scan will still be somewhere but the paint itself is fading.

It will wash out, baby clothes are especially designed to release stains. If you're not allergic to it, laundry sanitizer tends to get stuff super clean. Some people get contact dermititis, it's the same stuff as the alcohol free hand sanitizer that was around during the pandemic.
Be aware, it may not have full worn off yet. I listened to a Lucario transformation that had me feeling weird for a few weeks.

I know losing a friend while already being in this emotionally turbulent and painful process makes things more painful, but from an outside subjective view it's probably best that you lost a liability right before you became more vulnerable. ear wax reacts exothermically with hydrogen peroxide.
I now and then rinse my ears out with the normal medical dilution, but it can leave my ears kinda sore. They sell even higher dilutions of hydrogen peroxide specifically for using in your ears.
If you have a waterpik that has a continuous stream, running it on low can irrigate out your ears too.
Neither of these things should hurt, although the bubbling of the hydrogen peroxide can be... Intense.

This may seem like a weird suggestion, but try a VPN. Leave your PC running and use Tailscale to VPN to it as a free method.
In my experience with my mobile carrier, for some reason leaving a VPN running helps keep the connection more stable.
For some reason I've tracerouted my connection going to western Europe, for a server that I know is just down the street. Verizon US likes their traffic shaping.

Oh wait, I was thinking about Snow Buddies the movie spinoff Air Bud. Sorry.
Anyway, Snow Buddies production killed a bunch of puppies. None of the puppies they started with survived. The cold reduced their immune system response, and then they were packed together where several treatable diseases were spread and nobody even tried to fix the situation, just ordered more puppies.
