All your users can select their sources of trust independently. Your app doesn't need to do anything special besides authenticating with our nip 50 relay and making sure users have their outbox relay lists set correctly so we can find and index their events.

You can search without any nip 85, but then any search relay would work. You don't need us for that. We specialize in web of trust. The point of the relay is to have a filter by trust. Otherwise it would just be a regular nip 50 search relay.

Are we building the best WoT Search relay out there? Probably.
A relay that has everything: spam, scams, slop... all of it. But REQs and Search only return results from each user's wider network (follows-of-follows, 12 hops deep, minus mutes and reports). So, if a scammer or bot network uses the relay, they'll get the scam network. If a real human uses it, they'll get the network around them. Everyone stays happy.
And since it uses NIP-85 trust providers, you can choose any algorithm to score your network by any provider. Just subscribe to one and it will work automatically.
It's your WoT, not the relay operator's WoT.
It fixes Nostr without centralizing anywhere.

Hum.. I can try it later.. maybe it's the report download that is not considering proxy relays and hits all the outbox relays of your follows to download their reports for every user in the screen.

It will still connect to other stuff, like your community relays, location relays, chat relays, buzz/Concord relays, etc etc etc.
The proxy is only used to assemble the main feed from one relay.
It will also connect to the relays users on the screen use if the proxy relays fail to deliver any event we want from them, like profile, their outbox settings, etc.

Well, it's very easy to make a client if you just centralized all the info in one relay. The hard part is resolving the amount of relays out there on the client, without any intermediary servers.

Make sure the server does accept and doesn't delete encrypted blobs. The server will not be able to see the content, which is usually not ready or not received well by relays.

It is Google. But it is also all local. And no, the translations are super light already. We could add a setting to disable it, but nothing will change.
You can try the Fdroid version that doesn't even have the translation dependencies. Both use the same amount of battery.

Sure, but we need protocols for each one of them. We used to have just simple addresses for Bitcoin as well and nobody ever used them because it is too disconnected of an experience. Zaps and NWC were the things that made Bitcoin explode on nostr. Just addresses would have never reached the level that it reached with btc. We actually tried.
You can't have an explosion in usage without any investment in the protocol to make things exciting for users. It won't just magically be used if all you do is to just list the address in the profile page.

Who wants to build a nostr bot for amethyst that I can connect with a claude max and the bot will discuss, make your feature and open a PR all through Nostr?
Ideally over NIP-17 DMs to make things easier.
I just can't use those expensive APIs (unless you want to pay for it as well - thank you if so)...

Interesting.. well, 1.14 does have some performance improvemetns for both concord and NIP-17 for those exact problems. Have you tried? It's supposed to load faster.
I have been using Corcord just with the SoapBox cchannels, so not as heavy, but I can try to join more to see what happens.

Message to all other nostr devs, Amethyst now replies all kind 1s with NIP-22 comments instead of NIP-10.
Most clients already display them correctly so there is no change to any of you. We are starting the migration process of the writing side.
The point is to keep kind 1 for root posts as much as possible and minimize wasting mobile data when assembling the home feed.
