Highly recommended book about critical thinking and expressing agency by opting out of the systems that destroy. I don’t think he’s a bitcoiner (yet), but his thinking is aligned with first principles.

Good listen 👍🏻 Bitcoin requires opposition and expression of agency to remain “decentralized and secure,” as Jeff says. This won’t be the last time bitcoin has growing pains.
In the fiat system, a pleb doesn’t feel like they can express their agency. I love that as node runners and miners our voices contribute in a meaningful way.

Fiat convinced me that I had to have a credit card and “use other people’s money.” I haven’t had one now for five years, and I haven’t had any issues. I prefer to use and spend money that I’ve earned. It might be a slower path but is a peaceful way to live.

Exactly. A credit score just keeps people stuck in the same fiat system. The FICO will eventually be absorbed into a social credit system. Best to opt out of credit completely and live a sovereign life without debt. It’s not as hard as everyone makes it out to be.

Have you heard of culantro coyote? It has a similar flavor to cilantro but can grow in warmer climates. Very common in Central America.

While I don’t gamble or drink, I had a great time meeting some truly awesome bitcoiners at the conference.
