My wife is gonna push for him to play hockey, which is kinda funny because she didn't really become a fan of the sport until a few years ago.
Hockey has been a big part of my life since I was 6 years old, but it doesn't have to be part of his if he doesn't want it to be. He'll obviously be exposed to the game a lot, becuase of my job, but I won't push it on him.
My business partner's kid likes to watch hockey but has no interest on playing it. He prefers golf and playing the piano.

Alright, just a bit of Nic lore...
I once knocked out a woman with a spinning back kick to the body at a kickboxing tournament.
I was 19 years old, competing in my first tournament. I'd already had one MMA fight by that point, but I was still pretty nervous and a complete noob.
I won my first match by decision. While getting ready for my second fight, I kept hearing people talk about some chick who had just brutally knocked out her opponent in the opening round. Then, I found out she was my next opponent.
Turns out she was something like 3-0 in MMA, had over a dozen boxing matches under her belt, and was in her late 20s. When we squared up in the ring, she was much bigger than me. The weight class was 140-160 lb. I weighed in at 140, and she looked closer to 160.
I'll admit, I got a little worried. I didn't want to lose, but I especially didn't want to get knocked out by some chick.
The fight started, and I opened with a jab-cross-hook combination. She backed up to my left. I threw the exact same combination again, this time adding a spinning backfist after the hook. She backed up to my left and I barely missed.
So I tried it a third time.
Jab. Cross. Hook.
But instead of the spinning backfist, I threw a spinning back kick.
It landed flush to the body, and she folded like a sack of potatoes. She sounded like a dying pig, just grasping for air. I kinda felt bad tbh.
The fight lasted maybe 15 seconds.
For the rest of the tournament, instead of everyone talking about her knockout, people were talking about how I knocked out this chick. I was the woman beater 😂
I went on to win the tournament, finishing all three of my remaining opponents by knockout.

In MMA, you'd typically hide the rotation behind strikes. For example, you might move forward throwing punches to lead your opponent before finishing with a spinning back kick.
The spinning back kick can also be used to create distance. Georges St-Pierre did this against Jake Shields, repeatedly throwing it to force Shields backward and prevent him from closing the distance. GSP wanted to avoid the clinch, so the kick served as a good way to create distance.
I don't have any taekwondo experience myself, but a friend of mine who has a black belt explained that, because taekwondo doesn't really use punches, the kicks have to be disguised better. Fighters have a more sideways stance to conceal the hip rotation before they spin. In MMA, however, that stance is less practical because it leaves you more vulnerable to leg kicks and takedowns.

Everything has been good. The only issue we have is that he can only sleep in our arms. Liberating ourselves from having to hold him anytime he sleeps would go a long way.
