It's a terrible edit but it isn't the only one on Amazon Prime Video. They also have the full film and a (ick) colorized one.
Amazon probably didn't make the edit, though I could be wrong.

Eh, I don't know if that's true when all that changes hands is the brand name. Plenty of zombie brands that exist only to slap a recognizable old name (like Bell & Howell) on Temu-grade crap.
The new brand owner *could* make an effort to bring back a level of engineering comparable to the original company (probably scaled down to serve fewer product lines or taking advantage of modern manufacturing approaches).
But that's not the way to bet. It's usually the Temu-grade crap.
