There is definitely a performative element to this, but also I think there is still a belief that you can talk to Trump's aides and get somewhere.
I'm not sure that's true at all for this incoming admin.

Long blocks of well formatted and reasoned text backed by facts certainly were an important part of the first Trump administration's decision making, so I'm sure this will work and not be flatly ignored or used as a McDonald's napkin.

I was just sitting in my office and noticed a bunch of device messages popping up on my iPhone.
I AppleJuice attacked myself because I plugged my hard hat in to my shelf and the random AppleJuice attack went off.
