But current algos incentivise bubbles.
My suggestion:
On post creation you get some “credits” (special likes?). If you “spend” them on an opposing view, both your post and the opposing account get promoted by the algo.
“Views” are probably some algo bubble you are tagged in that is already implemented whether you like it or not.
If you want to grow your reach, you are incentivised to promote opposing views on your posts and search for opposing views posts to comment.
I’m sure you are already thinking of a way to game this and that’s ok. Every game is already rigged.

Under the Invention Secrecy Act, the US Government would be incentivised to keep encryption breaking technology (quantum) a secret, so it could hold some intel advantage.
Remember this act has produced over 5.500 orders from inception.
Some will have access to this info and dump bitcoin.
This could the be most probable (and worst) outcome because it would create even more confusion and inertia on a much needed upgrade. You would have the dump AND no upgrade urgency.
Most people agree quantum is not very good for anything else yet, so it would be the perfect target for the Invention Secrecy Act.

Bought a cheap mini pc so I could install startOS. The v0.35 never shows up on my network. The alpha 0.4 does, but the marketplace appears empty, some posts online say the same.
I’ve tried mynode and umbrel on a raspberry pi 4 in the past, eventually something always happens and I’m not a programmer or network expert (AI helps a lot nowadays).
I’m now trying to install Ubuntu server on that machine (having trouble) and just install spectre desktop or core directly will see.

Yes, everyone agrees on the “terms” of the protocol when they opt in. But that’s basically it. Then consensus happens *because* of protocol incentives.
On monero, and everywhere else, a hardfork is renewed opt in with everyone. And in monero you keep doing it over and over again. Agreeing on hardforks is a consensus mechanism that supersedes protocol incentives. Voting is like a hardfork. It’s not a consensus mechanism. People have decided *before* voting, and there are many reasons on why people vote the way they do.
Hard forks work for now because it’s a community. But money cannot be a community aggregator.
